So intoxicating we would sell our souls to stop the agonizing pain

A virus consuming our very existence

We stumble around looking for a blissful solution as endorphins blaze through our system

With reckless abandonment we seek a fix

No clinic or pill, no support group on earth to help with the chills

No cure can be bought

Withdrawals can be deadly and swift

Eyes glaze, we tremble and shake with uncontrollable rage

We walk around in a disheveled state, mind and body out of sync

A shambling rambling wreck of rejection and doubt

We become love junkies

Such an exorbitant price tag on this addiction
