The new light of the day,
Falls across my furrowed brow,
I hear a lovely melody,
That's a part of me and how.

I awaken from my dreams,
And reach for my guitar,
I play a song for Lucy,
Who is my morning star.

Soon she yawns and stretches,
Rubbing the slumber from her eyes,
Let no man put asunder,
What a peaceful fellow tries.

As she opens up the window,
I bend these strings and strum.
I'm just a shadow on the wall,
Draped in colours from the sun.

2. Twelve Strings.

Twelve strings on my guitar,
Vibrate through my bones,
Playing a melody inside me,
In a dozen different tones.

Good Karma's flowing through me,
In every drop of blood,
Pumping through my veins,
In a sweet harmonic flood.

Wild child of my soul,
A song of peace and love,
A mantra of serenity,
That fits me like a glove.

The strings of my guitar,
Vibrate through my bones,
They ring out through The Universe,
In a multitude of tones.

They meander for forever,
Within - Without - my soul,
They reverberate together,
As only lovers know.

She loves me with her heart,

For she has no reason to,
There's no need to be sorry,
When there's love in all you do.
