Like a warm embrace
In the harsh winter chill,
You comfort and soothe me.
You were there to pick me up
When I fell to my knees, crying.
You held me while my heart shattered.
You showed me love
And a true friendship,
As you whispered, "It will all be okay."
You dried my tears,
And made me smile
When the darkness was closing in.
You held my hand,
And kissed my cheek
As we prayed for my strength.
You were there to talk to
When all I wanted to do was hide
And close myself away.
You make me want things again
That I had forgotten I needed,
That I thought I could live without.
You have made me smile again
And the pain is slowly fading.
My soul is feeling lighter.
I have a feeling you are going to be trouble for my heart.
