Brief
Intense
Left me feeling stronger
Or it is weaker
Stronger, for the healing you provided
Weaker, for the door that’s been left open
These old sensations reawakened
Leaves me tender and raw
My insides melt at the thought
Of what might have been
What should
be I pray for the day
That you come back to me
And the strength to surpass
Obstacles, imagined or real
So we may fully embrace
