Intense and brief. I found the broken rhyme scheme particularly effective. I love how it fades from true rhyme into syllabic rhyme, then pseudo rhyme and eventually deteriorates into blank verse. On another note, my empathy for what events caused you to experience this. I'm really impressed. Five out of five.
