With Regrets....I wish I could go back, to those days way back when
I saw you for the first time, as I hid back out of sight
That petrified little kitten, peeking out to watch you pass by
Too terrified to talk, to catch your attention
I still think of that day, when you spoke and I did listen
But those words, I so desperately wanted to speak
Caught, by the butterflies in my stomach
Keeping me quiet, and let you walk away
Your name etched in my memory, never forgot till the day I die
Your face, that smile, and those tender sweet words
That ripple through my beating heart, still many years later
Unable to bring myself, to dry my tears of memories of that day
That day is long and gone now, and I still await another like you
Hoping to find someone, nice enough to say sweet words into my ear
To hold me, touch me in ways no one ever has, look upon me as normal
With regrets, that memory is all I have of you
