Words from My Heart

Introduction, I started this with the intention of writing a cute text to my girlfriend at the time, while she was sitting on the bed wondering what I was doing with my phone, but it kept going till it turned into this. Its too bad that fairy tales aren't real and that true love isn't a guarantee that a relationship can work, because this was true love, and we really did fight hard for it, epic battles, but it just wasn't meant to be.

What love I have to give is yours,

A better gift cannot be found in stores.

My words of love I give to thee,

They aren't controlled they flow freely.

My heart, my body, and my soul,

Are focused on your joy as a goal.

I love you more than words can say,

But tried to say it anyway.

Forgive me if this poem is lame,

But my heart will never be the same.

You raise me up when I feel down,

And for that you deserve a crown.

You are the Queen of my whole world,

The flags of peace are now unfurled.

For love is peace and hate is war,

And I shall not hate anymore.

For who can hate, when loved so much,

or wish to fight when feeling such.

In truth we do fight oftentimes,

In spite of all I've said in rhymes.

The fighting never lasts too long,

Because our love is very strong,

This love of ours can never die,

life will be good, for you and I.
