Hello, I'm here out of a fascination with the written word and how it can evoke emotions in us. I am not much of a writer but I have been told that I have a certain knack for writing stories of this inclination. Perhaps in time I will begin to post some of my work but for now I am intent in getting to know this interesting place and getting to know some of the people who make it tick :)

Interests I'm a musician primarily. I enjoy writing and listening to a vast array of music as well as reading and surfing the internet. I have a keen interest in collecting LPs also :)
Favorite Books The Cthulhu Mythos, The Sherlock Holmes novels, The Vampire Chronicles and Perdido Street Station. I am a big fan of really evocative works, or a really good mystery
Favorite Authors HP Lovecraft is a favourite of mine, I find he is an absolute master of atmosphere, something lacking in a lot of books I think. Edgar Allan Poe is another favourite, Anne Rice, Stephen King, China Mieville and Tolkein also.
Favorite Movies Requiem for a Dream is probably the best film I've seen, though anyone who's seen the film will tell you it's not one you watch over and over again :P I think recently my favourites have been older Hammer horror movies and How to Train Your Dragon :P
Favorite Music Pretty much anything. I go from King Crimson to Wu Tang, Aphex Twin to Marvin Gaye, Devin Townsend to Tom Waits. Being a music student has really opened my eyes to how much is really out there, I'm currently dipping my toe into Jazz and Classical but there's so much out there it gets pretty overwhelming
