When I wrote my first story I really wanted to be a popular author and have a lot of votes and comments but later I realised that I rather write for my own satisfaction and set small challenges upon myself. At the beginning I got advice like use sexy profile pictures to draw attention, put some sexy pictures on the image gallery and so on. I tried at first but I wasn't comfortable. It wasn't me I guess.


Of Course I still wish to get more views, votes and comments than I do at the moment, I mean who would not?

Personally I get awesome messages in my inbox from some people which really make my day and that matters most to me than the number of views I get.

I would not judge a story by the number of views because sometimes we tend to just click on a story, read 5 lines and close it because we do not get it...and it still counts as a view, right?

The comments (but not everyone is comfortable with writing comments) and the scores are a better indicator and the number of people who are following you or who have put the story as a favorite.

Well usually an idea comes up and I try to imagine a little. If I think there's potential, I'll go to my laptop and start typing. I don't come up with the title right away. It's only while writing that potential titles come up. Starting is the hard part but once I get started, the ideas start flowing in but sometimes I find that I'm stuck and the story seems lame, time to abandon the project or keep it for later.

I usually open 2 word docs. One for the actual story and another when I suddenly come up with ideas for something that would happen later on in the story or in later chapters. I don't rush through my writing anymore. I only write when I feel like it. I also try to imagine scenes and conversations in my mind and at times imagine how each character would react to a situation.

I usually review my story but it does happen that I do not spot some mistakes or I skipped a word. Usually I would take read a paragraph or two and take a break before I continue reviewing the next paragraph.

Then it is time to submit the story; type the title, tags and any necessary final edits...and wait nervously hoping it is not getting rejected and also hoping that people will like it.

Well I would recommend my "When The Truth Hurts series". It has been and still is a big challenge to write about it. I've always loved suspense stories and I decided to write my own. Even though the story is not popular on lush, I am not giving up on it. I think I put a lot of time, effort and thoughts into it and it is my best work so far.

Well I'm only 23, so I still have tons of learning to do. But I'd say the biggest thing I've learned so far is that you shouldn't spend your life striving to please everyone. It's impossible.

Uhh If secret, no one knows, no one cares. If suspected, can be creepy or flattering depending on how the guy acts. If known but not accepted (aka not relationship), can make it very awkward for the girl.

You guys do a great job and you do help authors with suggestions to publish our stories if they were rejected once and I really appreciate that.

I don't think that all stories need a twist. It all depends on what you write about. I've read a few stories where I guessed how they would end but still, the authors managed to pull it off so well that you still want to read them for the quality.

Each person has a particular taste and sometimes we read so many stories of the same genre or many stories from a particular author that we get used to their style. That's when we can figure out where they are going with their story.

Even though stories with a twist really make me want to keep reading, at times I just want to chill and read a simple pleasant story without thinking too much or getting too surprised by unexpected twists and be like, 'Whaaat?'

Well it is sometimes hard to explain why you liked a particular story. I mean finding the right words to express how you felt and what particularly drew you in. That may be why some people keep their comments short and can't really expand it further.

If something is bad, it's the way people interpret what the sacred books say or manipulate traditions and invent new ones in the name of religion and God.
