I too have been experiencing severe site slowness. In fact, the site appears to be frequently becoming temporarily unresponsive. I often have several tabs open on this site, and all become unresponsive for several minutes. Eventually they do seem to come back. Then the little black boxes show my friends just logging on (that were all logged in before). During these times, only tabs to this site are affected. I have no issues with other tabs open to other URLs.
