"We are all broken and damaged and we arent quite fixed yet. A lot of us have gone through hell, but you know what? We came back. We came back stronger. You know why? Because we are warriors and warriors fight". I am eccentric, enigmatic, and a complete scatter brain. I do six things at once, and I prefer that. Yoga is the only time I am focused. I am an instructor and life long lover of yoga. I am sarcastic and frank, but i always have good intentions. Some things I am passionate about include: fitness, surfing, skiing, backpacking, hiking, writing, sex the woods, the ocean...the waves crashing, the hot sand between my toes; the wind surrounding me;the mountains and the feeling i get when i peak a 14,000 footer; big tall rocks i can climb that make me feel closer to heaven, the stars and moon above me, the earth below me, the energy of life around me. I love libraries and the smell of books. I appreciate traveling and could stare at a map for hours planning my next adventure. I live a wonderful life, but pain lurks closely. It has given me all I am and believe.

without cautioning us

disappoint another
to be true to yourself.
If you can bear
the accusation of betrayal
and not betray your own soul.
If you can be faithless
and therefore trustworthy.
I want to know if you can see Beauty
even when it is not pretty
every day.
And if you can source your own life
from its presence.

if you can live with failure
yours and mine
and still stand at the edge of the lake
and shout to the silver of the full moon,
“Yes.”
It doesn’t interest me
to know where you live
or how much money you have.
I want to know if you can get up
after the night of grief and despair
weary and bruised to the bone
and do what needs to be done
to feed the children.
It doesn’t interest me
who you know
or how you came to be here.
I want to know if you will stand
in the centre of the fire
with me
and not shrink back.
It doesn’t interest me
where or what or with whom
you have studied.
I want to know
what sustains you
from the inside
when all else falls away.
I want to know
if you can be alone
with yourself
and if you truly like
the company you keep
in the empty moments.
