Topic I am done meeting people half way. I'm done. Melt the motherfucking guns.
Posted 05 Apr 2018 08:34

I have guns. I have several guns. With exception of one I keep in a secret compartment in my bedroom, they remain in a commercial grade upright safe. I have guns just in case. In case someone else with a gun becomes a threat. I've never shot anyone. I will if I have to. If this makes me someone to loathe, so be it.

Like some other members here on Lush, I too experienced parental incest as a young boy. I eventually made peace with what happened to me and have refused to let it affect the rest of my life. The topic itself is polarizing philosophically, personally, and emotionally, as are many other topics to different individuals. Sex is a developed taste. Acceptance of desires is controlled by your social convictions, your faith teachings, family traditions, courage and any number of other outside influences.

That being said, a number of us came to Lush in order to have a safe place to express ourselves and share ideas. Others came to “hook-up” and others came just to enjoy their guilty pleasure and read. I came to Lush in 2009. There are a number of excellent authors here who express themselves sensually and sexually with elegance. There are others who cram “Suck”, “Fuck” and “Cum” in a paragraph as often as they can. The difference between erotica and porn I suppose.

I don’t condone incest and have no intention of writing about it or reading it. On the other hand, I don’t censor it or deny someone else’s right to express themselves either. Many members have threatened or thought about leaving Lush in protest. I would hope that those members would take a step back and reconsider their options. Nicola has provided a safe place and it would be sad if she lost members for doing such.

On Lush, incest is merely another genre. Don’t give it more importance than it deserves.

Topic Awesome Award 3/16/17: Dirty Martini

I met Alan in 2007 on another site. He was the first person to greet me after I posted my first story online. Then we moved to Lush in 2009 and SS in 2011. Over the years we had many long winded conversations about music, love, drinking, writing and our lives. He was a true friend and often a mentor. Alan was the most prolific writer I've ever known.

The world was a better place with him in it. His legacy of words have often been repeated by the masses of his fans. I only hope that his family or closest friends find a way to archive and save his works.

I thank Nicola and Lush for honoring my friend.

Topic Do people believe in Destiny?
Posted 18 Aug 2016 09:45

Destiny isn't a moment to moment controlling of your life. Destiny is your destination. What you do on your journey to get there sets your destiny. The bi-sections of random chaos during your journey, ie, dying unexpectedly, winning the lottery, etc, is called fate. I do believe in destiny. I do believe in fate.

Topic Has the UK replaced the US as the political laughingstock of the world?
Posted 05 Jul 2016 15:51

The sad thing is that politics is a virus with no known cure. At any given time a country of your choice could join the race for futility. That being said, the USA fails in every category. Education, health, employment, military, economy, taxation, housing, integrity and honor. The only thing we are superb at is military contracts to fat cat corporations. To top everything else off, we offer the world our best collection of clowns and jesters as our nationally recognized elected representatives. There is no respite from our stampede for world-wide domination of stupidity.

My answer to the OP is that the USA may not always be the lead act of this comedy, but we set the bar higher each time we are.

Topic Donald Trump's Campaign is approaching bankruptcy
Posted 24 Jun 2016 13:53

Only Trump could take properties upside down in debt and call himself a billionaire. Only Trump could bankrupt property after property, and call himself a successful businessman. Only Repuglicans would buy that load of crap and applaud his audacity for running in a presidential race. I'm always amazed at how many people are so willing to drink the kool-aid.

Topic 51st State
Posted 11 Jun 2016 22:38

My thought is there are too many huge states and too many tiny states. So my plan would be to divide California into 3 states; Texas into 4 states; Montana into 2 states; split West Virginia between Ohio and Virginia; combine Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut; combine New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware, Washington, DC, Maryland. And let's cut that screwy tip off of Idaho and give it to Washington. Forget the UK. They talk funny and don't carry guns.

Topic Did your life turn out as expected?

A subjective life becomes objective when you look back in review. Changes could have been made. Choices should have been made. Successes and failures are all links in the same chain. I have a beautiful daughter and an amazing grandson. I have a loving long-term relationship with Aletheia. What could have been and what will be are only pipe dreams compared to what I actually hold in my hands.

Topic Do you think Sanders could beat Trump if he gets the Democratic nod?
Posted 06 Jun 2016 11:25

The sad thing is the choice between these two party candidates is so awful, that anyone who thinks farts and helium beer is funny could win this election just by showing up. The Democraps and Repuglicans are pathetically alike in that they never pick the apples from the top of the tree but rather offer us the fallen rotten fruit. The answer to the OP question is sure. Bernie could win. Yes. Trump could win. Hell, a fucking baked potato could win.

Topic how would you react?
Posted 06 Jun 2016 09:34

Being an "outsider" I get tickled reading these threads. They always start off so innocent in appearance and build up to "neener-neener" and "I know you are but what am I?" It's always the same cast of characters lobbing snowballs at each other. I think you guys just want a chance to visit. Maybe next time just start a thread "Hey, how's it going? Hope all is well with you."

(apologies to the OP. Not ridiculing your thread, just expressing my opinion)

Posted 25 May 2016 11:46

I don't know what more can be said on this subject. An RR is a way to make someone feel nice and just maybe for a moment a chance to stand in the spotlight. It isn't intended to be demeaning to all others. We all have work we are proud of. It doesn't change the quality of anyone else's work simply because we didn't get a thumbs up. The process isn't broken nor is it corrupt. It is simply a stroke on a keyboard.

Topic February Fast Approaches... Donald Trump is being taken seriously... Should we be TERRIFIED???
Posted 17 May 2016 10:20

What we should be terrified by is a two-party system that offers us a choice between clowns and jesters. Do away with the party system and let everyone run without affiliation. The obligatory "I vote Repuglican" or "I vote Democrap" has spiraled this nation straight into a military cesspool.

Yes. Be terrified.
