Topic Mom wants $46k per month in child support for 4yr old son?
Posted 02 Sep 2011 16:19

I agree that is insane, I only hope that the child will see the lion's share of it, but I don't hold my breath for it. However in the state of California, the mom / dad (whoever is in custody of the kid) can get up to 26% of the GROSS income for the month. So that means that the guys she is going after for the child support makes at least $177,000 a month (if she filed in California I don't know how it works in other places).

Personally its women like this that make other women look bad. I don't have a problem with a woman getting child support, (in fact I think in most cases its a great thing) but this just sounds like she is a gold digger, she has her own money and a lot of it, but because she doesn't want to be with the guy anymore she is gonna fleece him for everything. She makes all women look like greedy lil bitches who only want a man for his money, makes finding a good honest man even harder than it already is.

Topic In general do younger men have a chance with older women?
Posted 18 Jul 2011 11:24

I think five to ten years difference isnt that bad...but when you get older than that, it screams that someone is desprate and has no confidence in themselves. Seeing someone in their 20s date someone in their 40s + is just wrong. You are in two different places of life you have nothing in common except between the sheets, and no matter how much you connect there thats not enough for a long lasting real realtionship. And anyone who dates someone their kids age, well thats even worse for me.

My ideas on this aren't limited to women being the older party, I think it works both ways seeing a 20 something girl with a 40+ man is wrong too.

Topic Parents withhold telling anyone the gender of 4 month old child
Posted 29 May 2011 22:26

Here I think is proof that a child is either male or femle on the inside and I don't mean because they have a penis or vagina.

David Reimer, named Bruce at birth, underwent the first infant sex reassignment ever reported on a gentically and hormonally normal child. When he was 8months old his penis was accidently severed during circumcision. Soon afterwards his desprate parents tookhim to a psychologist, who sent them to John Hopkins University, where at 22months of age, Bruce had his testicles removed and genetils made to look like a girl. They renamed him Brenda.

She resisted her parents efforts at making her into a girl, she was not interested in dolls and dressup but wanted to play with dump trucks and play in group sports like baseball. She walked like a guy, talked like one and played as one. This lead to enormous amounts of teasing by her classmates. At medical visits for psychological monitoring she always drew herself as a boy.

As puberty struck, she began to fill out muscularly, and began taking the form of a "man" her parents wanted her to take estrogen therapy, which caused her to grow breasts and accumulate fat around her midsection, because of this she began to overeat and become even more reclusive.

Finally a psychologist encouraged her parents to tell her she was in fact a boy. Once she heard this she wanted to under go surgery again to be "fixed". He picked out the name David. He was 14 years old. He had to undergo androgen therapy and surgeries to remove his breasts and create a penis. His teen years were still troublesome but things looked up when he was in his 20s.

He married a woman, who left him after a few years becuase he was swindeled out of his money by someone else. His twin brother committed sucide shortly there after and two years later on May 4, 2004 David shot himself ending his life, telling people he had no desire to go on living his life. He blamed all his problems on his medical mishaps.

David's story is proof that his genetic sex and prenatal hormones overrode any gender reassignment surgeries or training by outside influences.

I think this is very simular, by not giving thier child a gender and keeping them away from society (and even parts of the fmaily) they are doing just as much damage as David's parents did when they had him made into a girl. Your gender is based on your actions and thoughts, not on what is inside of your pants. I think david's life is a testament to those ideas and should be used as an example of how harmeful it can be to a child's life when you mess with thier gender perceptions.

Lori & Morgan~~ Thank you for taking the time to answer my questions. I'm always up for a challenge, I don't mind having to fit my writings to someone else right now. The advice is very helpful.

Posted 15 Mar 2011 17:29

Morgan~~ You mentioned finding out from the publisher what they want in a book, and then write to meet that desire. How does one go about doing that? I have a passion for writing and would love to know how to go about doing it in a methoidical fashion rather than just rushing in and then figuring out what to do. Your advice is a welcome treat.

I know I have a lot of growing to do as an author, so I'm open to all advice and constructive critisim that I can get. I hate when someone says "That's great!" or "That sucks!" That tells me nothing other than you liked it or hated it, but what about it did you like or hate. My own personal pet peeve I guess.

Topic Transmitting a disease - should it be a crime?
Posted 03 Mar 2011 15:19

I think it should be a crime.

Here's more food for thought: In the state of California, if a medical professional, police officer, fireman, etc. is stuck with a needle, they are tested for such things as HIV, Hep C / B etc. However if the patient does not want to ungo testing for these things, they do not have to, and you can not take a blood sample and test it for those things without their consent. If the medical professional gets HIV, Hep C etc from this patient they can not go back and sue them for it in any capacity. It is seen as a hazard of the job.

Topic Do people believe in Destiny?
Posted 03 Feb 2011 22:03

I beleive in destiny, and that everything happens for a reason. I beleive you meet the people you do, when you do for a reason. Sometimes its good and sometimes its bad. However, I also beleive that you can help to form your own destiny. Think of how everything has formed who you are. If you took one experience away, would you be the same person you are today?

Topic Term limits yea or nae????
Posted 11 Jan 2011 21:06

I think we should do away with term limits. We got them after Roosovelt was elected 4 terms in a row as president. Well there must have been a good reason for this right? Look at the presedents since then, their first term they are good (wether you like them or not they are on good behavior, why because they want to be re-elected) and thier second term is shit. They pull stupid stuff, why becuase it doesn't matter they aren't trying to get re-elected.

As for the fat cats in congress who are feeding off us for 40+ years, WE elected them there and have kept them there, if we don't like thier ideals then we need to speak up and say something.

Personally if a man or woman can be re-elected 5 or 10 times as president / congress / govoner / etc they they are there because we think they can do a good job. Our country survived for about 180 years without term limits and our country was better then.

Think about this, if you know that you had a job for the next four years and you would never have that job again, would you be as cautious and careful with it, than if you knew that your job was always up for grabs?

As for the congressmen and other politicians getting social security I agree thats bs , they take enough and have huge pensions as is they don't need the social security check as well.

Topic Alcohol is the most lethal drug, outranking heroin, crack cocaine, and marijuana
Posted 14 Nov 2010 12:52

I dont know which substance is more deadly, but if you take the addicts (to hard drugs...and I include MJ in this as well) who die from complications of thier current OR former addictions, the number is much higher. While you may not die from an OD of MJ you can have serious side effects later on in life that will cause you to have a heart attack, stroke, cancer etc. This is true for all drugs no matter what it is, ETOH / H / coke / MJ / X etc they are all deadly in thier own right.

I for one hopw that MJ doesnt become lawful, I see that as a step in the wrong direction. A person's perceoption is off and they can cause just as many problems on the job or behind the wheel as any drunk. I dont know who said it but someone mentioned addicts aren't mean when they are high but drunks are...i would like to know who you have been around, I grew up in a house with a drunk and a druggie ... the drunk was mean but he never beat me however I cant say that for the person who was high, and it didnt matter what he was high on MJ / H etc. Now, that doesnt mean that every druggie is mean, I'm sure there are happy addicts just like there are happy drunks.

Just my two cents. happy8

Topic Ladies - what are your beauty tips?
Posted 08 Nov 2010 22:56

Sugar body scrub...super cheap and works great

Using bubble bath for shower gel...I buy the AVON ones, you get 24oz for less than 2 bottles of regular body wash and you use less of it :)

Aveeno facial soaps...I have super sensitive skin so this works best

Witch hazel for toner...can also be used on the bikini area if you get bumps...helps to sooth the skin and stop them from occuring (also great for healing wounds anywhere on the body)

Body gel oils after a shower before drying off

Cheap beer or cheap mayo (the full fat kind) put it in your hair like conditioner put a little plastic wrap and a warm (just from the dryer) towel ... let it sit for 15-30 minutes (depending on how damanged your hair is) then rinse your hair comes out super soft and shiney and dont worry about smelling like a jar of mayo or a brewery once your hair dries the smell goes away.

Apple Cider Vinegar can be used if you have dandruff but color your hair, this wont strip your color

Coffee used on dark brown to black hair can enrich the color

Lemons work great for blonde hair or for lightening up darker hair (gives good highlights)

Using Henna on hair can help bring out reds and bronze colors (its not permanent like most hair dyes, but blondes shouldn't use it since it can darken the hair)

Yoga bellydancing and ballet for a workout, cardio stretching and weight bearing exercises all in one enjoyable (at least for me) workout

Topic Germs and stuff
Posted 08 Sep 2010 17:37

I work in the health care feild primarily with kids and we notice (at least at the clinics I have worked at)the kids with the parents who are "germ-a-phobes" are the ones who have increased risk of asthma (a very life threatening disease) as well as the more simplier things such as the common cold. The kids who go out and play in the dirt and mud and aren't constantly told to stay clean (and I don't mean for your cousins wedding) have almost no asthma history and are healthier people all around.

On that note you do need to wash your hands after such things as the bathroom and handeling meat but there is no reason to wash your hands 20x while fixing dinner. Do you think restaraunt chefs do? Besides everytime you wash your hands you dry the skin out, water is one of the most drying agents to your skin (externally) when done in large quanties, it evaporates off your skin taking your natural moisture with it, when this happens enough you get microcuts in the skin its-self and you can end up getting skin infections that way (no fun). In surgery becuase they have to scrub thier hands with a very unforgiving soap and brush (it tore my hands apart so i wore 3 paris of gloves to protect my patients and my doctor finally had me use this trick instead) they wash thier hands (after surgery) with a lotion that is anti-bacterial...but I have found that washing your hands with normal everyday lotion leaves your hands softer and your nails dont get brittle and break as much.

As for sneezing into your hands (I think DamonX mentioned that) it is a horrible habit, and no you shouldn't sneeze into the person next to you, turn your head side ways and sneeze into your elbow crease. This way any germ you have are in an area that is almost never touched and you dont use it to touch anything with such as door knobs the backs of chairs (the dirtiest thing in an office building by the way) keyboards etc.

Well thats my 2 cents

Men who have thier foreskin removed end up with a ring around thier penis, this is the scar tissue that is present, it will always remain a slightly different color (typically deeper color but can be paler as well). Most men don't notice it. Since I stated it is scar tissue I'm sure at least one will say that they don't feel it as a scar, well everyone has at least one flat scar on their body thats all this is, now if you wait until you are over the age of 5 to have a circ then the scaring can be a more ridigid pronouncment.

Topic Father's rights, if any?
Posted 28 Jul 2010 00:38

To me, if its a certain thing that he is the father, then I think he should have the right to say he wants to keep the baby and let her off the hook for any responisbility towards the child after its born. However to me that means he pays for all the health care she needs during that time and for the L&D / C-Section as well. (Whether its just insurance co-pays or the full bill). The baby is part his, she did not spontaneously develop the baby, so he should be able to say what he wants, and while he may not get his way, she should be mature enough to listen to his side and they should make the decision together.

I understand it is her body and no one should force her to carry the baby she doesnt want, however is it fair to take that away from him? If at a later date she chooses to have a baby she can either go to a sperm bank or adopt (it is easier for a single woman to adopt than for a single man) and have a baby. For him this maybe his only chance at a child, since he can not carry his own child, its not fair for her to take that away from him.

In the state of California, it doesnt matter if you make an agreement with eachother that the guy is not fincially responsible to the baby, if his name is on the birth certificate and she chooses to go after him for support he is tied to her until the child is 18. The only way out of it is a paternaty test proves that the baby is not his. (I dont know about other states or countries).

My question is...why are you so against doctors? dontknow

Most of us without the aid of a doctor (or medical practioner...midwives included) would not be here today. Where would you be without modern medicine? Yes, I know typically it isn't the doctors who make the drugs it is a group of scientists but without the doctor you wouldn't have access to those medications when you need them, or to medical help when you need it like after a car accident or a fire etc.

Topic How important is a man's height?
Posted 23 Apr 2010 22:32

I'm 5'10 and I have dated men who were my height and they had problems with me being at eye level.

I have always prefered my man to be taller than me, I want to feel safe and secure in his arms, and I don't think I could feel that way if I'm the taller one in the realtionship. I also like being able to look up at my man. I don't care if he is 6'0 or 8'0 the taller then better, however, height isn't the only criteria that makes a man physically attractive.

As shallow as it is, I just don't think I could date someone shorter than me. dontknow

Topic Girls: what do you think about alpha males?
Posted 09 Apr 2010 21:52

What do you think about the alpha male? Wow, I find this question to be real to todays problem with the genders, both need each other and both genders have been confused about the need of a man that take charge and let you see the confident way he moves in the earth.

I call this a tender warrior that most women would love to have holding her. So what do I think about the alpha male, we are here, are needed and it is something you women need to embrace that you need in your life.

It is like they say, women are the weaker vessel, before you get upset, take a real moment to understand, men and women need each other, we are designed that way. Take the statement from bible- Your Husbands.. live with your wofes in an understanding way, as with a weaker vessel, since she is women; and grant her honor as a fellow heir of the grace of life. (1 Peter 3:7) So before you get mad, ask yourself do, you know what and why he said this in the bible.
After all, this comes from the great one that designed man and women, so before you get mad, think who you are getting mad at and go back to your question posted, what do you think of the alpha male?

Men and women go through life with two different views. They are that way in design and to bring to love what the other needs. So I end this post with the thought that I believe this alpha male wants all you ladies to feel me holding you since you are like fine china, you are delicate and not stoneware. You are fragile and more sensitive. You are a fine-tuned sports care, not a 65 Chevy pickup with mud flaps that men want to drive and touch.

You are more alert to the relationship becuase of you have been given more precisely adjusted sensory ability in terms of relationship. So what is there to think of an alpha male, you wonder and would like on ein your life, Guys, will you ever take the time to engage the brain and intelligently live with this magnificent creature God has place by your side. Do you speak women? Yes, what do you think about aphla male, he is here and knows how to love you as his gift from God. Oh ya, I think you need him.

So let me close with this for you, are you the weaker sex in the terms of lesser or are you the other half that allows man to become complete and move through live complete, because of you.

Now that comes from one hell of a, no not alpha male, but a tender warrior.

Are you serious? scratch It sounds like you don't know much about women but are trying to tell us what you think we want to hear. I think you have a lot of maturing to do still.
