Well my new story is up. A sort of Murakami/Dream/Reality kind of story dealing with the fascination we all have with "the one"? For men this means "the girl of our dreams". The story will not be to everyone's taste I'm sure, but I hope a few readers find it enjoyable.

Hong Kong is turning cold. The tight jeans and winter boots have come out to play. Gotta love it!!

Well quick one-night trip to Beijing and it looks like it might even be a success? We'll see later this week, but might even make some money before the year ends. That would be nice. Dinner at "Made in China" one of my FAVORITE spots in Beijing. Afterwards my translator took me (don't laugh) to LUSH Bar in Wudaokou. I was a bit old for the hot young crowd, but being with my sexy translator who's a young lady from Changsha made me look much younger. The day ended even better than it started.

ARGO is such a wonderful movie.....perfect story telling, every character actor perfectly cast and beautifully understated acting by several of the actors. The housekeeper's scene at the Canadian ambassador (Ken Taylor's) residence gate is Oscar worthy. Yay CANADA!! George Clooney sure knows how to pick them and Ben Affleck has finally made another good movie. The Beverly Hilton reminds me of my movie financing days....spent more than a few nights in that dog of a hotel haha.

Took the train to Venice. 5+ hours, but who can pass up a trip to Venice? Plus train rides in Italy are a joy in themselves. Night train back tonight and then straight onto the flight back to HK. Hectic but stimulating. Some of the Italian women sure know how to dress with élan!! If you love COFFEE like me skip "Cafe Florian" at Euro 15 per cup. SO MANY great coffee shops in Venice where insanely good coffee can be had for Euro 2.5.

A "few" of you enjoyed my new story haha. Oh well it's too long to attract much attention. Thanks to everyone who read it and left a nice comment.

Well I have always wanted to enter a contest and now I've finally managed it. Had to rush, but hope some of you like it. My Ayako series is still soon to come, a beguiling half-Japanese leading lady to tempt you all. Anyways, no expectations on winning or anything, but just wanted to participate in the competition.

Watched Jean de Florette and Manon de Source again. Difficult to take, especially the last scene. Certainly on par with The Godfather parts 1 & 2 as far as film making go. Daniel Auteuil, cast against type, gives one of the greatest performances ever.

Well my second story should hit 60K views today which is some sort of a milestone I guess. I have several new ones to publish including my new "Ayako" series about a half-Japanese temptress. I also hope to finish my competition entry in the next day or so to get my "spicy" story into the contest which will be the first contest I have actually finished a story in time to enter. Not much time to be on Lush or to write these days unfortunately.

Hitting Spasso tonight for some dancing and relaxation with David and some of his staff. Hopefully the deal goes through in the coming weeks. Back to Hong Kong late tomorrow if all goes as planned. It was hot & humid today (typical Bangkok) with some thunder storms. At night Bangkok can sometimes have the most spectacular lightning storms.

Getting ready for a quick one or two day jaunt to Bangkok (Krung Thep Nakhon), City of Angels, Land of Smiles, home of the 4-Faced Buddha and one of my fav restaurants, Zanotti's. I also plan to have coconut ice cream at the Oriental sitting beside the Chao Phraya River watching the Hummingbirds feed. Be back to Honkers in one or two days.

Back in Asia after a nice break in London. I've got my "Team GB" overpriced T-shirt and I gave business to the over-priced London restaurants so I did my part to stimulate Europe's economy. Time change is kicking my ass.

15 Aug 2012 10:39

London was cold and windy and had a little bit of rain today. Nice to have a story go over 60,000 views. Not much time for writing or reading these days??????? Japanese food tonight!!

"I agree to the conditions, Angel; because you know best what my punishment ought to be; only - only - don't make it more than I can bear!"

Wow Typhoon #10 in Hong Kong last night. Howling winds, ripping rain. Today you can see whole trees pulled out of the ground and pieces of leaves and trees plastered to the 30th story windows. With the airport closed and Beijing in chaos due to rain and flooding I was sort of "grounded" and decided to just stay put for a few more days.

20 Jul 2012 08:28

Well a rather fetching young lady surprised me with tickets to Batman. Friday night turned out to be more exciting than I thought it would. Serendipity....never under estimate serendipity!

19 Jul 2012 22:09

Well in the space of like ten days four of my stories have passed 50,000 views. Thanks to all the readers and all the people who left encouraging comments. I guess I better finish some of the new stories. Sorry I've been so busy and many of my stories in progress and my older series have languished for far too long. Luckily there are now hundreds of writers here on Lush keeping everyone occupied.

10 Jul 2012 03:04

My first story just went over 50,000 views!! Sort of cool and two others are very close to passing that mark. Thanks to all my readers, especially the ones who have taken the time to leave a comment. Your comments really mean a lot. Perhaps some Champagne tonight to celebrate at Ozone on the 118th Floor.

02 Jul 2012 09:02

Thanks to all my readers. Sorry I've been so busy lately. Will try to post some new stories soon. Wow one story has hit over 49,000 views and another 48,000? I need to get some Champagne ready for the 50K mark. Time really flies here on Lush.

18 Jun 2012 03:08

I'm so sad my old friend has deleted her many have gone.

05 Jun 2012 07:23

Well I made a RASH promise to Rachel to keep my VIP story under 50,000 words??? Oh well being "naughty" is all about breaking promises right? I hope Rachel was joking and won't put a collar on me and take her whip out if I'm too naughty. You read her stories and whew this girl is capable of ANYTHING!

03 Jun 2012 04:03

VIP that's something I can sink my teeth into. Since there's no word count then "count me in"!

17 May 2012 08:04

Well I'm back in more familiar territory with a "first time" story submitted. Hope all you Lushees like it. I know my stories are a bit long, but hey, that's my style. My shoulder is getting better so hopefully typing will not be so painful in the next few days.

13 May 2012 04:25

Well about to have my shoulder operated on so I'll be off-line for a few days as I recover. Thanks for taking "I'm Screwed Now" over 40K views. Unfortunately my latest story did not receive such a warm welcome.....oh well.....back to the drawing board. I'll try to do better next time.

09 May 2012 10:00

Okay, well finally finished another story. My Philippine based saga has been submitted. At over 11,000 words it is (I think) my longest single episode to date but I didn't want to leave my readers hanging on a cliff without any sex so I had to keep typing. Probably not everyone's cup of tea so who knows what response it will get? A few more stories in the works including my first "historical" storyline so I will keep scribbling.

06 Apr 2012 03:05

Just back from a week in Beijing. Nice weather and clear skies, but man is it getting expensive now. Some great food especially at "Made in China" which is now one of my favorite restaurants. Will try to get back to my stories as soon as I can.

26 Mar 2012 21:53

Thanks for putting both parts 1 & 2 of "My/His Best Friend's Daughter" over 30K views. I truly appreciate all my kind readers.

"It's a strange moment, the moment of creating characters who up to that moment have had no existence. What follows is fitful, uncertain, even hallucinatory, although sometimes it can be an unstoppable avalanche. The author's position is an odd one. In a sense he is not welcomed by the characters. The characters resist him, they are not easy to live with, they are impossible to define. You certainly can't dictate to them. To a certain extent you play a never-ending game with them, cat and mouse, blind man's buff, hide and seek. But finally you find that you have people of flesh and blood on your hands, people with will and an individual sensibility of their own, made out of component parts you are unable to change, manipulate or distort."

26 Feb 2012 06:46

Just passed 40K views on one of my stories for the first time. I feel like an "American Idol" video flashback is required...Ryan Seacrest: "Let's look back to when we first met John (Pans to a shot of a dejected John in an office)....He was struggling with self esteem issues...he hadn't written in years....and then....HE FOUND LUSH!! (Cut to: a shot of a smiling John typing madly on his MacAir with triumphal music in the background....Cut Again: Randy, J-Lo and what's his name giving John a standing fades...) Ryan Seacrest: "And now, for those contestants whose stories have reached forty-thousand views....."
