Lush might be a different story, but I feel like there are a lot of places on the internet where the number is more around 90% lol.

Well thats why I posted in "Ask the Gals", I assume thier BS dectors are much more in tune then mine.

Interesting theory but then how would you separate those responses from the 40% of responses you're expecting from men pretending to women?

Lush is very female dominated, it has to be. While there are twice as many men here than women there are six times as many female site moderators than male ones. That means you're twelve times more likely to be a site mod if you're woman than if you're a man. Why do you think that is? (No, it's not because they're actually men)

For men, getting attention from women here isn't easy, getting interest is even harder. I'm sure it's far too much work for a lot guys here so they're left finding other ways of making easier. It's sad but true, some people are here simply to make a connection no matter how fake it might be. I would imagine (though it's just a hunch) that most of the fakes are here to talk to the types of women they are presenting themselves as: "Hi, I stumbled on Lush by accident, I'm 19 from CA 34-22-32DD girls hit me up. NO GUYS" or "My husband satisfies my needs, now i need to know a woman's touch"

As fakes these people will find pics of some bikini model or worse a gallery from one of those ex-gf websites. The thing is, you see accounts like this all the time - the beauty of it is that they add each other and shares their fake pictures amongst themselves and have their fake girl on girl cyber sex (though I'm sure it must get a bit embarrassing when they've both decided to pretend to be "LoveGisele"). Yes, I'm sure there are a few individuals who get off by cock teasing vulnerable men - probably in some fucked up way this gets the world back for the way women treat them in real life - but I really can't imagine that problem is endemic to Lush.

Fakes tend to have the hottest avs, the biggest picture galleries, and appear to make themselves the most available. Of course they will attract your attention but for every one of those there will be at least a dozen accounts that don't even register on your radar

There may actually be a number of fake male accounts on here set up by women. Imagine the peace they'd have entering a full chat room and not being instantly invited to half a dozen private chats from people they don't know. How much nicer their Lush experience would be without the need to appear on cam or voice to prove their sex. They might even feel like they have more to offer than a pair of tits.

Warning: The opinions above are those of an anonymous individual on the internet. They are opinions, unless they're facts. They may be ill-informed, out of touch with reality or just plain stupid. They may contain traces of irony. If reading these opinions causes you to be become outraged or you start displaying the symptoms of outrage, stop reading them immediately. If symptoms persist, consult a psychiatrist.

Why not read some stories instead

I think there r lots pretending... kinda like how men like watching lesbian porn. You can tell most by how they word things or act. However, some can be good fakes and can really fool you. I have opened myself up to a few people on here only to realize later on that they have to be guys. Sooner or later they make a mistake.... it just stinks because you begin to question all of ur friends and can have trust issues. Is faking it and pretending to care about someone worth actually really hurting them more? No I don't think so.

I think it depends on how you use the site. I don’t chat, participate in the chat rooms or cyber with anyone, male or female, I enjoy making comments on some forums, writing and reading stories, and I’m always off line so I don’t come into contact with many people.

So whether they are who they say they are or if they believe I am who I say I am makes no difference to me

I have enough problems being a guy without complicating things.

Don says it all, life throws us way too many curves to add to it that. However that been said, I have had several "girls" friends who turned out certainly not to be who they pretended to be. As to whether they were guys, probably but no real way of knowing. When some super hot gal posts many explicit photos and is only available to women as another posted mentioned, it fishy! Even better when they bother to crop the pics they use! I found a few on Met-art who were here on Lush as well, lol!
Aw what the hell it's all good!

I don't care who is pretending to be whom. If I have fun, which doesn't necessarily have to be sexy, I'm good with it. Why spend time caring about what is, most of the time, in the end, inconsequential? Fantasy is a big part of Lush and some just get off on pretending to be someone they are not, who am I to stop them having fun?

Hitting this again since it seems to still be of interest.....

I think it comes down to expectations. And there is a wide range of expectations here. Personally I don't have a problem with any of them. But I know MINE, and personally, I am not interested in doing anything OTHER than casual chatting with any member who has a fake profile. It is one thing to not give a correct location, or to use a "stock" avatar, but when the entire profile is a complete lie (to include being the wrong sex), I am just not interested. If I want a TOTAL fantasy, I will read a story or look at some porn. But when I interact, I personally want some reality there. For me, THAT is what works for me.
