I kinda feel like some comfort food! I am making a yummy Meatloaf with ground pork & beef, chopped red onions & red pepper and some cubes of old cheddar cheese. Haven't decided yet on basmati rice or mashed spuds, but have a salad prepped and in the fridge .... and found some young asparagus at the market today.

I think I've enough for a small army .... this may be lunch and re-heated dinner for a few days! hahaha

I'm sad to say it but I ended up in a Wendy's and regretted it right after eating. I stay away from fast food for a reason.

DINNER Tonight: Standing Rib Roast (4 lbs. / medium rare), home made skin on mashed potatoes, and a steamed Brussel Sprouts.

Tomorrow's dinner will be quick broiled marinated beef strips (Honey Teriyaki), baked seasoned medium diced potatoes, and a vegetable to be determined. I just got the 2" thick London Broil steak sliced thin and in marinating. They should be VERY flavorful by tomorrow evening.

Tonight is comfort food at its finest......Shepard's pie.

To add even more flavour, I simmer the ground beef (or braised short ribs) with leeks and garlic in red wine for an hour. I then add fresh snap peas (shucked), carrots and sweet red pepper and add the au jus. Topping everything with roasted garlic mashed potatoes and a sprinkle of paprika.

Paired with a bottle of 2008 organic Cabernet Sauvignon from California - delicious!

Was planning on road kill again, But seeing that Leiza 350 is eating alone . We should go to Dairy Queen.

Think Ill have a carp (fish) sandwich & a large Pineapple shake , with just a touch of lime ..(lime MR.Misty about 1/3 of a shot Flavors seem to enhance one another)..

For Leiza 350 I will suggest the spotted Owl (chicken ) sandwich &b a large strawberry& Marshmallow Shake ( sugar rush ) But yummy
