just got back from the grocery store, and thought this might be a fun one for people. what's on your shopping list when you go grocery shopping?

here's the list for today:

potatos, red & russet

broccoli

mushrooms, crimini & white

eggplant

cabbage

strawberries

blue berries

bananas

romaine lettuce

fresh basil

ginger Embarassed

carrots

cheese, swiss & blue

tofu, plain and seasoned

guacamole (i'm lazy, i didn't want to do it myself)

Romaine Lettuce

Spinach

Bacon

eggs

cucumbers

tomatoes

vinegar

Fat free milk

breakfast cereal(at the moment enjoying honey nut cheerios and chocolaty strawberry special k, other favorite is cinnamon toast crunch)

beer

ice cream

steak

bottles water(the river is up and I don't trust our water when that happens)

That pretty much sums up a weeks worth of groceries. I haven't been cooking much lately.

This is typical stuff for me that I try to keep stocked in my kitchen/fridge...

Miscellaneous:
Eggs
Cheese - aged cheddar and a bit of goat cheese or a french triple cream/soft-ripened
Baby red potatoes
Kashi Go Lean Crunch cereal
Plain yogurt
Blue-cheese stuffed olives
Wasa (swedish crispbreads)

Protein/Meals (confession - some of this I get pre-made):
Tofu
Tiger Shrimp
Salmon
Chicken
Occasionally I'll get turkey bacon

Fruits and Veggies:
Lemons and Limes
Strawberries
Bananas
Green Apples
Pink Grapefruit
Lettuce - romaine and mixed spring
Spinach
Raspberries and/or blueberries
Red Bell Peppers
Cucumber
Baby brussel sprouts
Mushrooms
Avocado
Vine-ripened Tomatos

Liquids:
Crystal Light Liquids - a couple of squirt bottles for home and to throw into my purse
Metro Mint Water - couple of bottles
Blue Gatorade
Skim Milk or Soy milk
OJ or grapefruit

Snacks:
Luna Bars - various flavours for on-the-go snacks
Soy Nuts
Unsalted Almonds
Dried Mango
Lime and Salt microwave popcorn (mini-bags)

Dessert/Sweets:
Skinny Cow Ice Cream sandwiches and sometimes I'll get the Fudgesicles <-- best low-cal indulgences ever!

Today was, a new plate set (mine were geting chipped with age.)

A kitchen bin (old one was tatty.)

4 ltrs of diet coke

A crusty loaf of bread

A pair of sandals

A new Ministry of sound album (Saturday night club classics.)

2 17 kg bags of dried food for my dog's (should keep them happy for just over a week)

Then I got in the car and drove through the Kentucky fried chicken to reward myself for shopping.

I only went in to get grocery but thats what I came out with Embarassed

I'll agree on the fudgesicles. I have them stocked in my freezer too. Also I love the dreamsicles! Low cal and ice cream too!


Forgot to add Strategy for the horse on my list. I never skimp on his feed! (I can't recommend Strategy enough!)

nu bikinis 4 spain , tshirts ... thongs & tops 4 niteclubin haha ... sun cream .., condims sextoys jus in case I don't meet any1 I fancy , choc digestive bics 4 mam cuz she always 4gets em & gets stroppy wen she aint got none wiv er tea haha .. so wen I remember em she'll let me stay out later @ nite haha ..

I need chicken kievs .. a bulk buy of condoms, more lube (3-in-1 or WD40) and microwave pizzas .. microwaves dont burn pizzas.

Thats very true SJ...better double that bulk buy of condoms, you know how turned on KK gets when u wear ur willykini for me ...Its soooooo hot x

Oh and microwave pizza is just wrong, even burnt pizza is better than that x

Jersey Royal new baby potatoes x 2
Tinned tuna x 4

Dry roasted peanuts
Tinned Lychee x 2 (love that fruit!)
Sugar (unrefined)
Pasta bake with cheese and bacon x 2 (microwave 4 minutes lol)
Rack of ribs in BBQ sauce x 2

Thats about it for another week .. I hate supermarket shopping!!!

- Pasta + sauce (occasionally)

- Chocolate chips (when bulking)

I can create quite a few recipes with just those simple ingredients.
