"A Royal Affair" is a novel length version of DanielleX's entry into our VIP story competition, which some of you may have read.

The story is one of sexual fulfillment and true romance for the 21st century. It is a modern fairy tale, which does not shy away from the excitement and vivid intimacies of the bedroom.

Zofie has grown up in world different from the one she now knows. Her life is turned upside down by a revolution in Europe and is propelled from glamour kitten and socialite to nothing less than royalty. She yearns for the hedonism and freedom of her university days. She finds herself fighting a system that is there to protect her and in utter frustration breaks every rule in the book to make a point.

As she drives through the Bohemian countryside she meets a stricken motorist, stranded in his broken down hire car, miles from civilization. Tom is a tall, toned, professional, getting away from his pressurized job in London. He is strong and carefree but has an innocent charm, which Zofie likes. In Tom she sees someone with whom she can let her hair down and they have a wild night of passion in Bratislava.

Reality however has a way of bringing them back to Earth and Tom returns to London, while Zofie goes back to Prague to face the music.

As Tom resigns his night with the Princess to his history, the fantasy begins to take a new twist. The Olympic Games are in town. He is in charge of the organisation of the Olympic village. His world, like Zofie’s, is about to change forever.

Congratulations!!! :)

The trouble with having an open mind, of course, is that people will insist on coming along and trying to put things in it.
