John Lennon and/or Freddy Mercury.

The Beatles and Queen; two of the greatest bands of all time. HUGE influences on music, they should definitely be brought back! :D

Buddy Rich because he was a wizard on traps and Frank Zappa because I loved the way he satirized anybody that abused their position.

There are dozens of people I would like to bring back, but one man is still alive and I wish he could still compose like he could before his mind-altering motor cycle accident: Bob Dylan. Even he mourns the loss of his genius to compose like he could before the tragedy.

Let's not forget Mozart (died aged 35), and Schubert (31). Schubert especially was only just getting going before dying of syphilis (apparently).

I wouldn't mind seeing Wagner last a bit longer, either. His next opera was going to be based on the story of the Buddha (he got interested in Buddhism late in life and even his "Christian" opera Parsifal shows signs of it) and I would love to have seen it finished. Might have helped him shed the "evil Nazi" rep he somewhat deservedly has in some quarters.

Obviously my band would be The Beatles, with John Lennon & George Harrison alive again.

I'm going to have to go with a bit of a cliche one here, but Freddie Mercury. I think it would be awesome to see him live.

Girls of the Golden West

They were pioneers in country music as there were no women then in the genre. The girls would inspire a whole new breed of country music singers such as Kitty Wells, Jean Shepard and Patsy Cline. They would also inspire a short-lived girl group, The Davis Sisters. The Girls of the Golden West still remained a popular group, with songs like "Lonesome Cowgirl" and "Silvery Moon on the Golden Gate"

John Lennon definitely for sure. I saw Freddie Mercury in concert with Billy Squier in Denver back in 83. Best concert ever.

Sorry. This question is like a Lays potato chip.

John Lennon
George Harrison
Freddie Mercury
Jim Morrison
Jimi Hendrix
Laura Branigan
Johnny Cash

Sorry, too many great musicians to name just one. Take your pick and tomorrow pick a different one.
