I get lost in Target but I never ask directions. I also get lost in parking lots trying to remember where I parked. I asked directions to my car once but they were no help at all.

Target is the sometimes better, sometimes far worse knock-off of Wallyworld (aka, Walmart).

And yea. Lost.d'oh!

Why football is called football.

In soccer, it makes sense. I love football, but shouldn't it be called handball? Or pass ball? The ball is hardly ever kicked in football.

Why certain people preface their pronouncements with a denial.

e.g.

I'm not being racist but....

I've nothing against gay people but...

Et cetera.

Why women love shopping so much. Also why they buy something they don't need just because it's on sale. I just don't get it.

duh. if we buy it, we obviously need it. i think the issue is that you have the wrong definition of need in your head.

Why it takes a doctorate to feed penguins in a zoo, when you only need to perform 20 push-ups and 10 pull-ups to decide the fate of a woman and her child in a foreign country.

Reality shows can never really be reality because as soon as you introduce a camera people are surely going to play up to it.

Math. I just don't get it. I can barely do simple addiction and subtraction most days, don't even ask me to multiply or divide.
I understood it when it was taught, but after that it went straight over my head...

Offside!

In soccer, the offside rule states that when an offensive player is on the opponent's side of the field and a teammate touches the ball, there must be at least two opposing players who are closer to the goal line than the offensive player is, or that player cannot become involved in the play. For example, a player who has only the opposing goalkeeper between him or her and the goal cannot receive a pass from a teammate. The two defenders closer to the goal line usually include the goalkeeper, but that it not necessarily true. When an official calls a team for being offside, the other team is given possession of the ball for an indirect free kick.

There are some exceptions to the rule of offside. It cannot be called if the offensive players are on their own side of the field. Nor does it apply on a throw-in, goal kick or corner kick.
