People who complain about a free service and a place to express themselves. If you're not a gold member, maybe you, and who ever else has issues with the problems the site is dealing with because it's grown so damn fast, should sign up for one. The owner does not spend your money on fancy lattes or vintage wine or 3 hour lunches with the girls. It, and much more, is put back into the site to keep up with it's ever increasing demands. So lets just chill a little. Sit back with a coke and a smile, and show some appreciation for the hard work that is done by the owners and site admin. There are heaps if other interective sites just like this if this is not up to par. Hang on, no there isn't...not free ones anyway..

HEAR! HEAR!
All the people who make this site run are doing their best, which, I might add, is damned good.

Oh, and another thing. I freakin' HATE text speech. If you are too lazy to write out the words, what the Hell are you doing on a writer's site?

GAH!! My biggest peeve at the moment is...

"This member has chosen to receive messages from friends only"

WTF! I don't want or need to friend everyone just to send them a message.
Sometimes I see something funny and I want to send it to someone I interact with in the forums. (Hell, it took me and sprite over a year to finally friend one another but we've been PMing each other for two years!)
Or maybe I wanted to say something about a story they wrote.
This is beyond fucking irritating to find out AFTER I've written out a PM that I can't send it.

Couldn't agree more, if you are on this site I would hope you are fairly open minded and interested in meeting people. You can't control real life and who you meet,,,,, right. Open up your mind a little people,,,, come on!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Reading my profile and not saying "Hi!" My profile count goes up every time I log in, with no messages. I'm friendly and won't bother you, I promise!

Getting a friend request, accepting it, messaging them to say hello, getting no reply, and then unfriended two days later.

The profiles with the full-strength background images, making the text much harder to read. Inevitably it's the profiles with the most text to read that have them! Why write all of that, and then make it hard for people to read? Eh? I think it makes the whole page unappealing.

The fact when you block some one, they are not totally blocked. Blocked means that person gone, not to be seen again. Yet you see all there post in
mutual friends walls.

Also wish when you are blocked and you have sent an email that something would come up letting you know that you are blocked,so you dont keep sending mail.

Also that you cannot put yourself to off line! Yes you can set away, but as soon as you sign in, they can tell your here.

Now all these pet peeves or suggestions, anyone reading them?

I totally agree with you, and right now my page is guilty of that, one option would be to give us the option to change our font color. That would help.

Unfortunately because of the large porn ads I can't read Lush at work anymore. When work is slow I've loved pulling up Lush and reading some stories. I can't do that anymore and I only get to read a fraction of the stories I used to.

this is my problem too.. I can't read in a public transport or even in the living room since there's a chance someone will pass by and see the ads on the side..

Huge problem. Can't even read who has posted on their wall; sometimes can't read title of their stories. Just distracting and so much of the person's personality is lost.

Somebody who follows me, presumably because of my stories, but doesn't seem to have ever voted or commented on any.

If you like then that much, wouldn't it make sense to drop a nice comment or vote or two?

Such a good story (not mine). I plan on re-reading it today, as I noticed it is getting close to Famous status. I think it's one of the best on the site, from one of the best on the site.

People who set all these conditions on their profile description, such as, I don't talk to men or I don't talk to women, etc. Get real people, saying hello is just a courteous thing to do. I find intelligent conversation is stimulating, it does not have to be sexual in nature, not everyone is interested in your dick size, breast size, or whatever. I will speak to anyone. If the conversation turns to something I am uncomfortable with, I can always click off. That is just me, like it or not, I really don't care.

I don't have many complaints .. you get what you pay for and I pay nothing to be here. But if there is one thing that annoys me it would be those writers that have 'blocked' someone who had the 'utter nerve' to give one of their post a score lower than '5'. How completely childish! I suppose those writers believe their work is so superior that it simply shouldn't be scored .. in which case they should just say they don't want scores .. period. Take the scoring option off and just be thrilled at the 37 followers that read your story. It is just so phony to block people from scoring. If there is someone that is giving a score of '1' when you have 35 scores of '5' .. complain to management.

I would further recommend that authors who have anyone blocked from scoring should not be allowed to submit stories into Lush competitions. That is simply .. cheating. Not that I think the judges give a rip what scores and comments are left, but still there is the look that 'those' writers are being given an advantage. If I am not mistaken, the rules of the competitions are supposed to make certain that no writer has an advantage over the others.

I don't think it matters weather you pay to be here or not. But I do pay, and I feel the same way.

I totally agree with this. I have had this done to me, It is so childish to block someone for them giving you a 4 on a story. Not all stories deserve a 5. I have gotten to the point now, If I cant honestly give a 5, I wont score it. Me.. if your gonna give me a 4, im fine, just tell me why so I can correct what I did to get that 4, I'snt that the way we learn? Just my My 2 cents

Also our blocking system.

Oh, THIS. In spades.

I like talking to friends, and no it doesn't have to be sexual, but I also want to learn where their frequency/content comfort zone is and respect those boundaries. Trying, anyway. The point is, whether it's once a week or once a day or once in a while, I like to keep in touch.

I added someone against my better judgment and was proved correct - no comms since the invite. Sure, stuff happens but if they're interested, they'll write. If not, why did they bother? smh.
