Our resident code monkey Gav is running out of major projects to work on, so now is an excellent time to put in your site wishlist.

Features don't necessarily have to be story related, they could just be for fun.

Some ideas we have on the proposal table / already in the works:

- Random Member Photo images section, you can rate the photos (whatever they may be) out of 10, comment on them etc

- Do people want a proper blog page of their own, in addition to their profile pages?

- Q and A section, similar to Yahoo Answers / Answers.com, which would focus primarily on advice and relationships - people get points for a good answer, more for best answer etc.

- Members able to set up their own poll

Brainstorming ideas at this stage.

Your input would be appreciated. icon_smile

Maybe a singles room?

I can see that rating thing going south and not in a good way.

Ali - one is in the works in Oregon 3601 http://www.lushwinebar.com/ We actually have our own "virtual wine bar" and hangout area in the Red Light Center, however we've not really pushed that yet. It would be neat if we all went in one day, and could "see" each other virtually in their 3D world - you can chat to each other in there, dance around, share a drink, take pot, have sex etc.

Necho - users would only get one vote per photo, people consistently voting low would have their voting privileges removed.

FF - we have private chatrooms now, isn't that sufficient?

BB - yes, Gav has been looking at a blog plugin.

I like the rating idea then.

I also like the Agony Aunt type thread, users being able to ask questions while being anonomous.

How about making the front page a bit more interactive, like "Stories being read now" banner?.

A volunteer editors section? People can submit there stories and Volunteers can help edit them to make them more acceptable.

Ive already mentioned giving the badges more ranking.

How about more awards for stories? Story of the day, Story of the week, Story of the Year?

How about a better user ranking system by how many badges they have. We can can show this by maybe putting a colour frame around the avatars, colours representing differnt ranks?. This is still a pretty new idea, it might require more thinking.

I like this idea too, a sex Q&A section, I have a few questions we can prime it with Whistle

This is a good idea to get people talking about a story. The comments could be organised more like a conversation, rather than a sequential list.

Yes! A lush reputation score.

Need to clarify how we rank these, but a good idea.

I like the idea of grading based upon the badge, or lush reputation.

Maybe also improve the image gallery? Making it much more like Facebook, dedicate an entire page to it, have seperat albums.

We need a member search (maybe a should re-phrase that, we need a search for people on our site).

So I'm interested in making friends with people on Lush who are computer programmer's, are fans of the Star Wars saga and located are in Sydney, 1 result(s) found.

Anyway you get the idea......

I'm glad to see that no one seems to be worried about making this site too much like facebook!!! In that case, i think we should be able to comment directly on photo's and "mini blogs" instead of having to message them or commenting on their page. and maybe also making it an option to make the comments visible only that member?

You're doing great Gav!!! hello1

Scooter is always useful...just for what, nobody knows...
How about more options with the photos, so that you can make some private so that only your "Lush Friends" can see them? I think that would go over well. Also, perhaps being able to group certain pics into separate folders if you want to either link them to a story or just distinguish them in some way...
Good Luck with the project,
Alan.

Hi Everyone..
When a friend "pokes" you .. it asks you if you want to poke them back.
How about when a friend logs on and the little box pops up at the top, you get the options to poke them or start a chat with them?
I know a lot of times i'm reading a story and i don't want to click on their name so it doesn't close the story and take me to their profile page, but i also want to contact them.
Also, if there is a way to keep the banner at the top of the page, so that while i'm reading a story, i still have the links at top so i can right click and open up a new window with my inbox or friends or whatever without scrolling all the way up and losing my place in the story.

I would like to see a "Competition" section for past and present competition entries added permanently to the the Category section. Maybe have different colour score thingies to indicate winners, runner-ups, new entries?

I'm not sure visitors or even some members would know that they would have to click on the big banner on the front page to see the entries, also it is not always there. To be honest, I didn't at first. Luckily a friend told me and sent me the url.

Hope this makes sense, just woke up sleepy5 need coffee

This will sound nit picky but, the "badges" are boring. I didn't know they were there until I stumbled upon them. Maybe colors for every catagory? Or..dare I say it, movement of some kind? Doesn't have to be Pixie's sparkles but something eye catching.

Yes a blog would be great and photo albums with a larger storage size for more pics and be able to organize them without having to delete them.

Hey Lushers and Lushettes...this may sound minor, but I hate the online chat thingy...what I hate about it is that you have to hit the send button to send the text, unlike the regular chat where you could just hit "enter"...when you are used to one, it makes it hard to use the other...for me at least...if there was some uniformity between the two, it would be a lot easier...
Cheers,
Alan.

I was wondering for online chat, if there was a way to make a grouped window. For instance, a single window with tabs that flash when you recieve an instant message. It would make chatting easier than having random things pop up on me and having to cycle through them to find the person I want to talk to at that point....does that make any sense?

Wishing you well,
Lydia

Agreed. I was holding off for a bit as we've only had a few competitions so far. I plan to do a lot more this year. We will add this in soon. The front page navigation is getting really cluttered, we need to do something about that too.

How about a few more general competitions, keep the big themed ones (christmas, halloween) for money rewards, but have a few that maybe just a banner on the front page for a week or so promoting the story as the prise.

In creating a new chat room, how about an option for the ROOM OWNER to "only allow my friends"? It would save a room owner from sending passwords all over the place, and also keep the trolls out.

That's an idea. $ competitions are expensive!

I must be doing something wrong...I always seem to have to hit "send" for online chat...I'll try it again one of these days...

Do you mean "send an online message"? If so, I can't press enter either, I have to click on send.
