I'll toss in a plug for Kina Grannis. I just discovered her via Youtube (which seems to be her natural habitat) and quite like her singing. Her original songs aren't bad, either, though I'd say she's stronger as a singer than as a writer but that may change with time.

No specific video in mind. I'll just post a link to her channel and let you discover for yourself: http://www.youtube.com/user/kinagrannis

In honour of my five years on Lush, here is the current version of my first Lush story. It was rewritten to fix up some issues a couple years in but the basic story remains intact.

One Beautiful Morning

And my entry from the recent Bookish Stories comp. An after hours visit to the rare books room gets a librarian more than he bargained for...

Beyonce is perfection when it comes to ballads. If you disagree, it's probably because your ankles are ashy.

Let me cover your shit in glitter, I can make it gold.

As usual, I can't pick just one. Four come to mind. Not necessarily for their style but for their powerful voices

Julie Andrews

Petula Clark

Celine Dion

Lady Gaga

Today I love Hayley Westenra. But I used to love Debbie Harry in "Blondie."

The most highly developed science to date is the Science of Killing.

"how many seas must a white dove sail, before she sleeps in the sand?....
How many deaths will it take till he knows, that too many people have died." [Robert Zimmerman, a.k.a. Bob Dylan]

Great taste Cindy!
I am going to offer a torch singer who sings in both English and French named Stacey Kent. Her "The Boy Next Door Is Sexy" but her "I've Got A Crush on You" is heart-melting. "I've got a crush on you, ...sweetie...pie...all the day and nighttime...hear me sigh!..." She can make a sane man crazy!
