I've recently been on a few dates with a man of 55, nearly 20 years my senior, I met him on a dating site! So you're never sure when your first meet, you often wonder whether what they state in profiles, mails etc is really the truth. I have to say compared to most i've dated though, he was perfect for me and the age difference was no problem, especially after I got to know him.

His manners were impeccable, never late; he opens doors for me, compliments me on whatever I ware, has a wicked sense of humour and is great compnay. He's smart and intelligent, and although balding, shaves his head like Bruce Willis/Sean Connery, and has pale blue eyes that twinkle in a cheeky way but are sometimes rather sad. I found the whole package sexy and alluring, and he got me into bed very quickly (my mum would certainly say)Embarassed
He's very passionate and although he admitted he uses viagra because he finds maintaining an erection difficult from time to time, he was totally honest about it; he certainly rocked my boat.

So whats the problem you may ask, well he made it clear he dos'nt want a relationship beyond what we have, he has Children and Grandchildren and enjoys his life just as it is, I did wonder if he was married at first, but after visiting his place there is no semblance of a female hand in his life.
So for me I think older men are very attractive, but you have to understand many single men over a certain age are likely to be settled in careers and outlook and most likely have a family that make spontaneous liasons difficult, and in his case went through an acrimonous divorce that has left him rather shell shocked. So they are unlikely to want more than a casual relationship, but I guess that could be said about any man/woman.

I thought at first 55 maybe far too old for me, but he's changed my opinion. However i'm sure there are men out there that are just as attractive to me, of my own age group, i've just never met any yet.

Well my first boyfriend Steve was older and I think my "crush" on Steve shaped a lot of my ideas about men? IDK? I do mostly find myself attracted to older men. With women it is the opposite. I am attracted to girls around my age or younger. I love the innocence in young women, their emotional vulnerability. In older men I think I find their confidence a turn on? Plus I like guys with large hands and toned chests and arms.Embarassed Embarassed

I've never really been with anyone but I am really attracted towards older men. I feel like they just know how to treat women better in bed and in general, really.

Personally, would generally prefer a guy within my age range or who's a few years older.

I do agree with Tinastits2 quote, extracted here below:
"So for me I think older men are very attractive, but you have to understand many single men over a certain age are likely to be settled in careers and outlook and most likely have a family that make spontaneous liasons difficult, and in his case went through an acrimonous divorce that has left him rather shell shocked. Tina - at least you got your boat rocked!

I am approaching 42 years old, and I love the energy, virility, stamina of college aged boys the best. I still love men my own age and older, but the rock hard cock of a 19 to 22 year old is wonderful. And even if they cum a bit too quickly the first time, they are ready to go again in ten minutes!

On the other hand, older men are more considerate, patient, and when they talk to you, they sometimes say something worth hearing....so that is a real plus.

Absolutely. I've always liked older guys, and I've never been with/dated anyone younger than me (that's not really purposeful, though). Because I'm pretty mature for 22, I usually find that I'm more compatible with older guys. That's not to say I don't like guys closer to my own age, because I absolutely do. I just don't really consider age (within reason) when I'm with someone.

I enjoy older and younger. I am kinda in the middle of them right now. Older men have experience and know how, young guys have rabid sexual desires. Right now, I am trying to find a little of both.

Nice answer, sort the men out from the boys and the thinkers from the Neanderthals .

Generally I can enjoy their company but not sexually. I prefer men around my own age.
My only older man experience was as a 16yo I encouraged a cab driver to work off the fare - he would have been 40+ is my guess.
He treated me well and told me he has a daughter a bit younger than me and hoped she didnt do what we were doing.

Have done, but I found their sexual appetites do not match mine from a biological point of view.

At age 19 guys my age often aren't hugely mature, particularly at my university with girls at a high marjority, around 75% girls. I guess for some people it seems like 'easy pickings' on a night out.
They're a lot of fun to hang out with but I can't say I'm particularly attracted to them.
As for older guys, I'm only just considered an adult, so someone who is 10-15 years older than me seems a little strange, but guys who are maybe 5 years older or so, in their mid-20's feel about right. Not too old for me.

Being 18 and trying to date people in my age range (18- to early 20's), I must admit it isn't my cup of tea.

Even when I was back in high school guys just seemed immature and solely focused on getting into a girls panties.

So I've always loved older men. They're more mature and caring, actually listen when I talk, are wiser, and very passionate lovers.

Although the oldest guy I would ever really consider being in a relationship (of any kind) with would probably be 45 maximum.

Young men are only interested in one thing - themselves whereas the older men are stoked to have a younger lady interested in them and their main priority is to please the lady - besides experience only comes with age.study thumbright

Being 22, I find all the men my age or younger are immature. And generally just after one night stands, not a relationship. So I definitely look for men older than myself.

B: Well, Sir is a little under five years older than me, does that count?

Back in college, I dated one guy who had a dozen years on me, but that's the furthest out I've gone. He wasn't into the type of 'play-time' I like though, so it didn't last too long.

Older men are wonderful:) or at least with my honey, he's 26 years older than I am and it's been wonderful. I don't think it has to really do with age, I think it's the maturity level of the two peoples involved. I wouldn't say they are better or not. You'll find emotional douchebags anywhere. It's hard to find honesty and the actual intent involved, and yes it can be a little bit scary with older men, since they have more experience in life then someone younger would. More experience is not a bad thing, it's a learning opportunity and just because your younger doesn't mean you have nothing to offer. I didn't seek out an older man, neither did he( someone younger) we found each other by chance and fell inlove.
