Yes because I visualize the scenes as I write them. So I see my characters fucking or making love (depending on the mood of the story) and yes, that turns me on.

Yeah, I do. I use my own fantasies and I'm picturing them as I write so It's hard not to get turned on, which can be very distracting! I often stop writing, play with myself for a bit and picture what might happen next, then write it down when I've 'calmed down'. I try to proof read with a clear head, but, as others have said, if your fantasy/story and doesn't turn you on, how can you expect it to turn others on? For that matter, why would you write an erotic story that doesn't turn you on?

Reading erotica means you will end up cumming... but here I'm talking about writers who write such hot stories, so do you guys get horny while writing all those dirty words?
Personally I sometimes get horny because while writing I imagine everything, kind of like a movie playing in my mind and I'm writing it's script.

Absolutely I do - it's a requirement. You can tell when I'm not turned on in the slightest: the sex is boring and usually in missionary position. LOL

I get a thrill out of writing sex scenes knowing that the reader (hopefully) will also get a thrill. For longer pieces that are heavy on plot I end up shifting around, saving sex scenes for when I'm in the mood for it.

Editing, however, is always done sober :)

I can't tell you how many times I've had to take a break from writing to, ahem, relieve myself.

I've tried writing one before, but I ended up so horny that I wasn't able to finish it due to my need to constantly touch myself.

No doubt...I'm working on a new story now and I gotta keep stopping while writing this sex scene. Writing when your horny does make scenes freakier though too.

My problem is that I do get horny when writing a story.

It's like porn. It's not very interesting once you finish.

Happiness

My life has no meaning, no direction, no aim. No purpose. But I'm happy. I can't wrap my head around this. What the fuck am I doing right?

My stories are based on my experiences, so I first get horny reminiscing of the past event, then I write, then as I proof read, I always get horny. Always! If I didn't, I'd start a re-write.

If a story is about a true experience, then it always brings back wonderful memories, so for me I remember exactly how I felt and always feels that way again while writing. If a story is from a fantasy that I have, well it made me horny in the first place to think it, so no different when writing!

Yes.. That's why it takes me so long to write my stories, as I have to stop and masturbate every now and then.. But hopefully if it gets me horny it will get the readers horny also..

Definitely. It's a must. If your own words don't arouse you then how do you expect the reader to be aroused? Most of my writing sessions end with me arousd to the point of needing to masturbate.

I mostly write fully clothed for that reason to stop/remove the temptation of me touching myself. This is for. 2 reasons. Firstly if I did start touching then not much writing would get done. Secondly the sexual tention builds more if I'm arousd but can't masturbate and my writing is better for it.

I'd be interested to hear if other writers applie the same rules to themselves.

Like Debbie (and everyone else who posts here) I get very horny while I am writing my sex scenes. Unlike her, though I dream them up in my head whilst I am in the shower, masturbating nice and slowly. It might take several days of solo pleasure before I have refined them sufficiently to write them down, which is better done in the cold light of day - working out grammar and syntax, and making sure that there is no repetition of words to ensure variety.

Yes, but I usually get inspired to write my erotic stories when I'm already turned so the writing is sort of like my own form of masturbation.

I agree. I find that even real sex is 70% mental. When I am not "into" my wife, there is not much she can do to rouse me.
I get horny imagining what my characters would do in a situation. I have to stop, or masturbate, or something, so I can actually write down what I see in my head.

Sometimes. When I'm in a horny mood it flows better but really depends what I'm writing. It's if I read it back and I feel horny then I know it's good to go.

I get a little horny when I am first writing a piece but I am concentrating on getting all the parts together in the right order and all that other stuff. And
I am often surprised that I have the beginnings of an erection. I really get pumped up when I am reading it over. Partially because of reminiscing about
the scenes, and partly because what I wrote reminds me of other things to write about, so I always keep a note pad open to jot down ideas. I
do a lot of one-handed typing!

Sometimes, depends on how hot the story is getting. Sometimes I have to step away from writing when I'm too heated or things move too fast in the story, I like to build character and plot before they just go at it. Recently I was working on a story that was getting really kinky, when I stopped to take a break, I realized my panties were soaked **giggles**

Writing erotica makes me extremely hard and horny. I always get naked before I begin writing because I love playing with myself along the way. It keeps my thoughts stimulated and my spirit liberated. Well, I better get back to the story that I am working on.
