I've always worked on my birthday unless it fell on a weekend. I've never had a job that wasn't Monday - Friday.

In fact, the first day of school often fell on or near my birthday. d'oh!

My boss would have a good chuckle and tell me to get back to work if I asked for my birthday off.

I used to work for a company that gave you a paid day off for your birthday. I thought it was a great idea.

If I didn't go in, I'd miss out on the cake they buy for the birthday boy...

I haven't worked on my birthday in over 20 years. As a show of unity, I won't work on yours tomorrow, either! I'll use the infamous email subject line:

I haven't yet and have no intentions to start. Usually I also take off the day after my birthday....that is when I have a job on my birthday.....

BTW, you can all start getting my presents ready now.....It's only 15 days until my 31st!!!!!

LOL. Just kidding. Only Holly has to worry about getting me a present :)

Its just another day. I just get to have cake and ice cream after dinner. Going to work on my birthday isn't a big deal for me.

I've had 3 birthdays since I started working and have worked all of them. I don't think this year will be any different.

I have not worked on my birthday for close on 20 years as you have to supply a cake, for your own birthday, and also used to get too many surprises from your workmates.

Birthday? Weekend? Day off?

Familiar words....faint memories......something vaguely familiar.....

We get none of the above here in the desert, so, for the last 5 years, no.

Hadn't really thought about it....until now.

Yes, I do work my birthdays, but this year could be different.
