I think Lonelydad and Jebru nailed it: knowing how something works, and being able to build it are two very different things.

It would be a Robinson Crusoe scenario: the guy could only use basic materials to build a hut and some hunting tools.

Better forget about the whole thing, it's too complicated.

well first thing is freak out.......... its is out of my norm

if the time machine is like the tardus (Doctor Who), then it is lickly to happen if i had "The Doctor" he would fix everything but guess he is not there.

i guess i would have to learn the language becuase it depends where i landed in that time period.

ok say it was what we call Great Britian i landed in. there were many dilects of language and many countries so learn the local language.

three things i could do

1) become a nun
2) become a whore
3) find a husband

i would join Angeladmirer and live in the woods. i would have the skills to cook, clean, sew, bear childern, raise them with educated.

i may even join Robin Hood

become a woad

join the dude from braveheart

become a dragon hunter

there are so many possiblities open ur minds and explore your imagination............
