a lot of men are cowards, MastrB8r...not that I'm stereotyping men or anything ...I speak from experience...it's nice when someone doesn't take the coward's route

Sometimes. If it is someone i met in a club just for a good time and completely sober and can say it with a straight face, we got a problem. But i have a couple good women i go to for casual sex and the occasional date and they tell me they love me , but the thing is we both know it isnt true, it is the lust and the tangling of warm bodies. And i would never lead on a woman by doing the same thing.

As mentioned before it depends on the situation. After building a relationship and putting in the effort to make things work, I love you is a welcome and awesome thing. However, being told I love you after the second date.. that would be a very bad sign. Being in love is wonderful, fallling in love after 3 hrs and proclaiming that love in 4hrs.. that IS scary!

Sometimes, it depends on the situation and the guy. Its not always a case of cowardise. Some guys would feel great about a person loving them but if they dont feel the same they they may not want to hurt the other person. It may be just the fact that theyre dicks and use that to cut lose. I personally love to hear if someone loves me... but it can may things hard sometimes. I mean would you want a fuck buddy who you didnt have feelings for tell you that they love you? Not sayingg it back can be so painful... Its a tough one if you ask me...

Its not who i am, but what i do that defines me.

I disagree. Love can be amazing, but it can cause the most severe pain.

I believe the man should pick the woman and not the other way around- think it works out better that way naturally : )

Torture the data long enough and they will confess to anything.

Really? I think women get just as freaked, actually they probably freak more than guys when some dude they don't love back tells them they're in love with them... Guys in love are persistent...

Just because you say you love someone isn't going to make someone love you. But if you do love someone, tell them. I believe that when a man picks, he does this committed and the odds of success are greater.

Women let him choose you and love him all the more for it- Men, choose wisely.

Love is absolutely terrifying. The interplay between all the emotions that love can stir up is what makes us so compelled toward it; its the first natural high. I am under the impression that love is something intangible and eternal. So, naturally, it freaks the hell out of all men. Whether they admit it or not, it freaks us all out, because we are afraid that we are somehow going to push our other (and better) half away from us, and/or miss out on the perfect girl/guy. Being told "I love you" however, has become less hard to deal with as the concept of love is becoming bastardized with capitalism in holidays (Valentines). Some people don't even associate the phrase with the actual emotion anymore, (which really sucks) and most people just say it now. The scary thing for a guy is not being with one person for the rest of their life, but being with the wrong person for the rest of their life. Just a thought :P

It depends. If we have been in a meaningful relationship for some time, no it would not scare me away. I do not believe in love at first sight, so if after only a couple dates, yes.
