I know everyone is unique and has different desires and what not. I also know that some of the extremists are on this site but still. A lot of people on here take it way too far and serious, and not to be sexist, but it is mostly males. It is really kind of gross. People have to take everything dirty, and yes i know we are on an erotic site but that doesn't mean you ahve to make everything erotic. It is important to acknowledge beauty as well. After all, anyone can be sexy, but it takes something special to be beautiful.

In summary is that people take every possible detail about this site way too erotic, and have to speak foully and openly about it, its very annoying. THey look for sexiness in everything instead of beauty. I think beauty is much more important...

Do you agree with this little rant up there or no?

With respect, I think I'd disagree...

Most of the people I correspond with on Lush are eloquent, intelligent and in some cases pretty opinionated... When we're talking about matters sexual, it's absolutely essential to have the confidence and indeed the vocabulary to express one's views. And when we're NOT talking about sexual issues, as we frequently don't, the fact that Lush is primarily an Adult site only matters insomuch as one hears, (and debates) adult opinion...

Suggesting that 'beauty' and 'sexiness' are two separate and different states is not a position I concur with...

I choose my friends carefully at Lush, and I'm honoured to think that my friends here value my humour and opinion as much as I welcome theirs, even, or especially when, we don't agree...

I've discussed issues ranging from the political to the social to the personal upon Lush Forum, and also of course subjects that are profoundly and simply sexual in nature....

Perhaps I've been both very lucky and, to a degree, selective with those I've chosen to interact with. Certainly I've made valued, intelligent and very amusing friends here.

I have of course been Msg'd by people, mainly men, who graphically and frequently with bad spelling and syntax, (why IS that?) tell me what they'd like to do with me and my lingerie.... (Trust me if you've done that and you're reading this.... You DON'T want my worn underwear!!!) Those people, who while welcome here I'm sure, simply aren't my kind of Lushie and I never reply to such approaches....

But on the whole, I think it's a varied and valuable community and most of the time we get it right...

I take your point that it's not all about sex.... It's just that a lot of the time..... It IS!

xx SF

I disagree ! I have seen people using foul language and seeking cybering in religious chat rooms too, it’s in stoppable, one cannot drawn conclusions abut the whole community just because of few such people

I really don't think he meant the whole site as he would never have the time to talk to all of the thousands of people on here. A lot of times when you first join you get bombarded with the reaction that Stephanie mentioned. It can get frustrating when trying to talk to someone or make a new friend that it's always thought sexual. Sometime it's nice to get to know someone before assuming that they want to suck your.... well, you get my drift. Erotic is not pornographic to most thinking people I would hope. It just takes time to weed out the ones he's talking about.

Of course you would agree...stacking the deck in your favor kinda' thing...:P

Beauty and sexiness are both subjective to individual moods, desires and tastes. And we do have a whole worldful of those on this site. Some are crude and some are eloquently tasteful.

I totally agree.... I'd go so far as too say that while some of my initial approaches to people who I find interesting might have been a private Msg commenting on a Forum Post (opinion) or a posted photo (in which case I WOULD have commented upon someone being attractive/sexy/beautiful) I often find that the more I get to know someone here the LESS we talk about sex!

May I say that after posting upon this topic I took the liberty of checking out 'KEYHEART's' profile.... I find it delightful that such a young man has such a gracious and mannerly aspect and I think he sounds like a genuinely lovely guy.... (And if it's not too much, he looks kinda hot, too!!!!!)

I just hope he doesn't fall in with the wrong crowd on 'ere..... I notice The Chef is a friend..... Well, THAT'S a bad start!!! (JOKE! JOKE! JOKE!) Big Hugs

And is it just me getting older or are the cutest Lushies getting younger?????? Nicola, please can we have a Lush Seniors site for the wrinklies!!!!!!

No, I don't agree. Perhaps I've been lucky, because everyone I have encountered so far has been terribly kind and polite. It is probably the number one reason why I frequent this site.

i agree with u. beauty is somthing much deeper than the surface feeling of finding a person sexy. i feel that many ppl base so much on the surface wen one can only see true beauty through knowing a person, faults included. someone once told me, "i don't c u as the perfect person but i c u perfectly" and i dnt think it cud b said much better than that

First off i would like to say thank you very much.

SEcondly i would like to clarify...My rant was upon the people who...what seems like, but may not be true...

Goes straight for the pictures and talks immaculately (right word???) dirty and all about how bad they want to f*** someone so badly. I have no problems with people who are suggestive, but when i look at a photo, and see 12 people all saying how bad they would love to fuck their minds out; it is very disheartening. I just think it's wrong to take everything sexually every time and not admire beauty too. That's what i was trying to say.

But yea what Chef/kat said nailed what im thinking on the head. I know its not everyone.

It just irks me.

I take your point and totally agree!!!

I often peruse the 'image gallery' photos that some Members generously post on Profiles, and YES I do find it a bit vulgar when someone posts in a very graphically sexual way about posted photographs.... ("I'd love to come all over those gorgeous tits..." etc....)

I don't do that myself, (although in truth I might think it!!!!) but usually I'll thank someone for a photograph I'm happy to have viewed...

But here's a thought......

Perhaps SOME of the people who are generous enough to post explicit photos might LIKE the fact that some stranger might post such overtly sexual comments..... Perhaps such comments might turn them on..... Not always, but possibly????

Lush is a varied Church.....

Take what you need.... Ignore what you don't get... Accept everyone while not agreeing with what everyone does... Choose your friends....

Enjoy LUSH!!!!!

xx SF

(And don't take it too seriously!!!! It's The Web..... Which isn't really real life after all....)
