It could bring up a few laughs, but then it would also bring up a shitload of gossip(do we really need more of that? I'm struggling to keep up!!!) and probably a bunch of people going "Why the hell are you looking on my profile???" So it's a no from me too.

No.
It can stop people from viewing because they don't want to be 'tracked'.
Also, I wouldn't view anyone's profiles if it was there, I don't want to seem creepy!

see look I'm already getting paranoid!confused1

I love how the NO voters have qualified their reasons for opposition while the YES voters remain strangely quiet in a lurky, stalker-ish manner.

Thanks for bringing it up for vote though, Pixie. It's better that site developments like this come up for discussion rather than just get implemented - remember when they just added "time since last visit" to our profiles?

Thanks for the support overmyknee. As I said we won't know if we don't ask.

Gav adds things as members vote for them to be included. You always have the option to turn things off if you want to. We're good like that.

I'm really curious to know the stance of the person who voted "Other".

On further reflection I've decided I don't care enough to vote (and the boss already said no so it would be pointless).

I've already switched it off - just a shame it was opt-out rather than opt-in

A profile is there to be to be viewed. No need to be friends beforehand (Lush not Facebook) we're ok to be viewed now, but not liked to know who?
Some would not like it.
Some would not even check who did it view.
Some would be flattered...

Just another day on Lush! I'm not against it.

Nope. People read my profile for lots of reasons, curious about my av, met me in forum, read my stories, viewed my posts on my friends wall...if they want to be a friend, they will send me a message or friend request.

I vote for "other". "Other" being the option to favorite profiles just like we can favorite authors or stories. One of the things I like to do on lush is to read profiles but not because I am looking for someone to chat with, or befriend or whatever. My list of friends is very short and I want to keep it that way, but there is so much creativity out there and that would be my way of saying "Great job!".

You are silly then because a lot of us don't like people knowing that we're on their page, hence why on all sites that do have that I keep myself on invisible.

I'd be all for it - providing we could switch it on and off at our discretion. AFF had this feature on their site and you coudn't selectively choose either to not determine who's peeking at you on a per visit basis (nor could you make yourself invisible so others coudn't determine when you are scoping them out).

Maybe they've changed this functionality. The last time I was there in 2010...that's how it was set up. I found it amusing on certain levels and quietly alarming on others.

Reminds me I need to go check out your latest Ginga pictures...

I voted "No" btw...for the usual reasons stated here...sounds like more fuel for paranoia, false accusations, alcohol fueled outbursts, chat room fights, forum drama, deleted accounts, and a few other things we probably don't need...
