A guy asked me if I could help him the other day, he looked like a decent guy, well dressed if a little distressed. He had broken down and had no change for the bus so he was embarrassed to ask me for some change, I asked him how much and he said £1.20. I gave it to him and he was so greateful and asked if he could get my address to send it back. I said not to worry, just do something nice for someone else :)
I hope that he did.

I'm not sure what's up with that. I have a lot of friends from L.A, New York, London, etc. who have moved to my little corner of the world and they collectively nicknamed it "the land of the terminally polite", and even I think the world is made up of jerks. What must it be like outside this little valley?

most people are nice... they just have forgotten it... really!!!

to me the people you have to watch out for are the ones who seem nice at first and then screw you over... that bothers me more than people who are outright rude....

I think if more parents make a concerted effort to raise their children to be mannerable and polite then society would be nicer. It was certainly taught and demanded by my parents.

Thank you.
