Sooo glad I don't drink. Some of those 'remedies' sound like concoctions for cleaning ovens.

This post comes to you from the original and highly disorganised mind of mine...be scared, I certainly am, lol

I rarely get hangovers, even after a giant drinking session, but if I do, I find a bowl o' noodles helps.

•Sleep. Rest is your best friend at this point because your body needs an opportunity to recover. It is best to stay in bed so call in to work if you have to, tell them you have the stomach flu. You will sound so horrible on the phone that they may believe you (unless they saw you at the bar last night, then this is not a good idea).
•Liquids. Replenish your body with fruit or vegetable juice and water.
•Avoid caffeine. A weak cup of coffee may be okay, but a lot of caffeine will continue to dehydrate you, which is the opposite of what you want right now.
•Vitamin C. Drink orange juice for Vitamin C.
•Food. Eat mineral and protein rich food, even if you don't feel like it.
•Pickles. In Poland, drinking pickle juice is a common remedy. Barbara Rolek, About.com Guide to Eastern European Food, has more Hangover Food suggestions from this region.
•Drink a Bloody Mary. While the popular phrase “hair of the dog that bit you” may sound logical with a shot of whiskey left in the bottle next to your bed, it will only provide temporary relief. Try a Bloody Mary instead, while your blood is dealing with the new alcohol it is ignoring the old and in the mean time, the tomato juice and celery are full of replenishing vitamins. If you drank the last of the vodka, make a Virgin Mary or Bloody Maria.

Personally Ill do one of a couple things: if I have the time, ill drink plenty of water, with two Tylenol, then head back to sleep. If not, go for a run till Ive sweat it out.

Follow either one with Pad thai for dinner.

They make sense.

From experience though, a full english breakfast always does the trick.

Failing that, an egg and bacon sandwich is pretty effective.

Yes, bacon and eggs with mushrooms and orange juice. And if I'm in a rush, a teaspoonful of vegemite and a glass of orange juice... even aussies that like vegemite tend to find that disgusting but it works for me. Perhaps it's the Vitamin B and C and salt.

I use a pre-workout powder mix. It really gets you back going.

I tend to get a bucket of Extra Crispy with extra grease, eat it and go back to sleep.

Water. Alcohol dehydrates you.
Don't believe the fallacy that bread soaks up alcohol too blah blah blah. All those kinds of fallacies are, are just placebo effects. You believe it helps so it does. Mind over matter.

A couple of glasses of water before you go to bed, then a bacon and egg roll when you wake up. And you can't cook it yourself. It has to be from the nearest takeaway.

Thank fuck I've grown out of that shit.

Please take a look at my latest story, Banging for Roof.

And for a sexy little rush of Adrenalin, pick yourself up a copy of the Lush Summer anthology.

Excedrin, full glass of water and a shot of ACV (apple cider vinegar) - works every time IF you can keep the vinegar down.

A boiled egg with slightly runny yolk and a piece of white bread to dunk in, lots and lots of salt on the egg, and a freshly squeezed orange juice. Works like magic for me. Though the best idea is always to drink lots of water before hitting the sack.

It's not such a hangover if you get others drunk than you are, but you would have to share... hmm NO.

Just stick with more and more practice... anyway, it's not an hangover till a qualified person says so.

Choose n Practice Happiness

Life is simple; we are what we eat and what we read. Talk is superfluous.
