In my stories, I sometimes try to write a female first person narrative but being male, I am unsure how women prefer to refer to erotic genitala.

Scientific terms include>
Areola
Breast
Cervix
Clitoris
Clitoral hood (this is a favorite part for me, but I really wish I knew a "street" term for it)
Clitoral glans (glans clitoridis)
Hymen
Labium
Ovaries
Penis
Scrotum
Uterus
Vagina
Vulva
etc.

Common street terms are generally less exact>
Nipple
Boob
Tits
Pussy
Clit
Cock
Prick
Balls
etc.

So my question is really, "Which type of words increase your reading pleasure, and which words detract from the story?
Favorite words would be appreciated...

I Prefer the 'street' names mainly but this maybe because that is the way I speak.
My favorites would have to be
Pussy, cock, balls and clitoris.

Vagina and vulva especially seem like ugly words to me for some reason.

Both terms are used. Clitoris is used as clit.

My preference is the street names. I have a particular dislike of people using 'vagina' as a catch-all for womens genitals. It is just a tube after all. There are many more parts to it, although I consider 'pussy' as an acceptable catch-all word. My personal word for a general description is "cunt". I've always used it and don't think it vulgar at all. Specifics are clit, hood, lips, flaps.
