How come it is so many guys, and yes I know a few of the women fall for it too, are fooled by people who post hijacked images from amateur or even professional porn sites.

On top of that, I would guess that 9 out of every 10 profiles are fake for women 22 and under lol

laughing ... welcome to Lush .... where the fake "think" they are real. I remember telling a male friend here that his "sweeties' pic was bogus" ... he said it didn't matter.

I think many don't really care. I know, I care. I like real.

So many are here for the fantasy.

For some, the fantasy is all within the stories they love, or write. For many others, the fantasies extend to the people they meet here. For them, it's truly beside the point whether or not the pictures match the personalities that they ostensibly represent, because both are about fantasy; what really goes on at the other end is a matter of trivia. So, in that case, it's not a matter of getting 'fooled', because the people in question haven't invested any importance in the integrity of those users. They look at the pics, cyber, masturbate, and then either repeat with another or go on with their lives, only to return at a later time or day.

It took me a while to realize this, and before that I was baffled in just the same exact ways.

I think it's sad that people resort to using images of porn stars to fool people. Myself I stick to paintings or images that are well known.

What is more sad is when the person swears and declares that the images are all them when clearly it isn't.

I like honesty.

There's nothing wrong with posting a really good pic to share of someone who isn't you. But you shouldn't be telling people that it is you.

i think we all are here to express our self only , not to show our self for the other , if you liked my thoughts and i did too , then we may ask for the next step

In order to understand this phenomenon, I just think of how professional phone-sex-operators work or the popularity of those call-in chat-lines with those dumb commercials that come on at 2am of uber-hot models in lingerie or sitting in a hot tub pretending to be excited to talk to strangers/losers from "Chat-Quest" on their cell-phones. I assume that unless you're IQ-challenged, you realize these hot models aren't on the other end of the phone, but you're willing to suspend disbelief and enjoy the fantasy.

I guess if you're here for random/quick cyber it works the same way, and one guy pretending to be a 19-year-old smoking-hot lesbian will find a way to hook up with another dude pretending to be a 19 year old horny lesbian, so it all works out. I think the profiles with the obviously fake pics have similarly unrealistic bios written as well. And if it's just cyber - I guess, who cares.

If you're looking for more than cyber or prefer to be grounded in reality, then yeah, you gotta do your research.

For some, it's a fantasy. For others, it's a game. And for most, it's for attention
that they might not get in their actual life. Sometimes, I wonder if it's just because
they wish that they were the image/person they're pretending to be.
Are you truly awake?

The issue for some is privacy or staying anonymous, not so much trying to fool folks

BUT there are some seriously lazy profiles around here, particularly from guys. They want the fantasy without any work on their part or the minimal they can get away with. That is annoying.

If you read my profile bio, you will see how I mention "fake" profiles in it. This is not my first rodeo and I can tell a "real" profile from a "fake" one, as most of us here can. Many times, it's the images in the gallery, but most of all, it's the avatar that gives it away. Two profiles from young women on here come to mind for sure that I know are fake.

That's why, when you look at my images, I posted a two to prove I am real. The other's, of course, I found and just liked.

The photo albums in my profile, well they are self explanatory.

Theirs no problem with people trying to be anonymous or low profile. The problem is the people who are outright liars about who they are. people who use pictures of brookelle bones or Katie "babyfayce" skadoske who have been all over google for a decade and they claim that the pics are theirs and stolen by millions of people years before they join lol it's silly

Well i am afraid that the only pic i will post on my profile is myself...Why lie online ..only make a fool of yourself

It is pathetic, those that steal another persons image; and perhaps just as pathetic that some fools deceive themselves that the photos are real. I am glad to see those that admit that the photos are not their own, and have noticed others that have recently removed photos that were not of them.

But just as it it quite easy to discover which photos are stolen, it also becomes easy to find the real name of the model in the stolen photo.
There are warped stalkers that will pursue the owner of the image believing it is the 'hottie' they have 'cyber'ed with.

Who then shares responsibility for attacks on the model?

Danni your photos are as stolen as your English...

But perhaps most sad is that you have nearly 900 "friends"...

I honestly dont understand why people cant see that the pictures have been airbrushed etc. And they still post comments to say "You are looking so Hot", thats because the picture is stole from some where.

Everyone does it, even in their everyday life. You can't tell me you've never lied about yourself. I'm not defending it, but everyone lies

I laugh my ass off when I see an album entitled "my shoes" or "my toys" or "my ass" ..... and clearly, if you just checked out some images online .... you'd find those "same shoes/personal ass shots" are taken from the internet photos one can find if you use google-images or use tumblr/heartit/whatever.

I always think a little clarification goes a long way .... like .... hey, I love these shoes and my own pic sucked .... instead of saying .... "oh yeah, I've spent a fortune on my Jimmy Choo's" !

lol .... yeah, right.

still laughing .... god, I love how some people think everyone's stupid. But, hey, if it makes 'em feel better about themselves .... I guess you just ignore it.

@ FtLMale - Texasson would applaud you ....

Actually, what makes me laugh is when every pic in their profile is someone different, and the member is obviously not trying to fool anyone, yet their friends will comment on the pic about what a great ass they have.

ok here's the thing. U post what ur comfortable with.

VERY easy to tell, if it's a guy pretending to be a girl.
Most of them seem to be as posted above.

I'm not interested in meeting someone, so post whatever. If you have a sexy mind, and there is "chemistry", that's OK. Not here looking for an LTR, just fun.
