The first thing that turns me off are the people who lie or cheat. Simple as that.

Apart from the obvious ramblings concerning hygiene and oral care, one of my biggest turn off's is when he can't tear himself away from his cell phone while on a date with me. Seriously. I consider myself to be a pretty easy going girl but that shit drives me crazy and think it's just plain rude.

I will and have made some exceptions if I'm on a date with a single dad and there is an issue with his kid(s) since that is the only thing that would make me take my own call or text but and even then, ONE call is fine but anything more, I'm starting to roll my eyes and reaching for my purse. "CHECK PLEASE!"

Gum chewing and smoking.

For whatever reason, I've always found the sight of a woman masticating a stick of whatever quite unattractive (disgusting even). Occasionally is fine, but I remember some otherwise attractive girls in high school whose jaws just never stopped moving.

Smoking is a surefire deal breaker. Not just the sight of someone puffing but the smell it leaves on clothes and body.

Judgemental liberals/progressives.

People who call every vehicle with 4 wheels a car. I drive a truck. Don't call my truck a car.

People who watch Who's got Talent, American Idol, or like Piers Morgan.

Anyone who voted both times for that shit head of all time Obummer.

-Bigotry
-Small-mindedness
-Ignorance (and being too stubborn to educate yourself)
-People who take themselves too seriously
-People who take everything too seriously/have little sense of humor
-Arrogance/huge egos
-Insensitivity
-Impatience
-Incessant movement and chatter. This drives me crazy. I'm a very still person (unless I'm excited) and I just can't date someone who doesn't know how to relax and be quiet. Being energetic is awesome, don't get me wrong, but there're going to be problems if you're just wholly incapable of it sitting down and shutting up for five minutes.
-People who are too clingy. I'm all for being wanted, but I need some personal time, too.
-Bad hygiene, of course.
-Smoking. I'm not telling you not to, but I am telling you to keep that lit cancer stick away from me.
-People who are too loud (for example, my sister's bf is always yelling and speaking loudly). Drives me nuts.
-People who talk over me. I grew up with five siblings, okay? I'm done with having to scream over a dozen people just to be heard.
-Atrocious spelling and grammar/txt spk. This is a real turn-off.
-Ghetto-ness. I don't care what your ethnicity is, but if you act/speak really ghetto you immediately lose appeal to me.
-People who like to play mind games/test people. I can't stand this.
-Dishonesty
-Cheaters
-Liars
-Whining
-Nagging
-Bad manners
-Severe cynicism
-Short tempers
-Greediness/selfishness
-A ridiculous amount of facial hair. Men have to keep that beard short and neatly trimmed (if they have one, and I'd rather they didn't) and as sexist as this is I would never be able to date a woman who had a lot of facial hair (brows and lashes exempted), either. Sorry.
-An excessive amount of chest/back hair is also a huge turn off.
-Possessiveness/controlling tendencies
-Serious jealousy issues
-People who are absolutely gross. And I mean dirtying the toilet or shaving and not bothering to clean up after themselves, etc.

<3 <3 This. All of this! And of course people who are intolerant of others and/or are hateful. Homophobes, stuck up conservatives, psycho-level liberals, all the crazies. Can't we all just shut up and get along??

This exactly! Extremists on all sides tend to be severely irritating.

I have a bunch, but here are a few:

Misuse of personal pronouns: "Me and her went to the mall." WTF?

Refusal to listen to or discuss personal interrelationship issues.

Trying to convert me to any religion.
