Very Bad Things. I laughed my ass off for half an hour after the final credits rolled.

The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas. Man, that's stayed with me.

Forrest Gump. It was just so sad that he didn't end up with Jenny.

Million Dollar Baby. *sigh*

Buried. The snake was a bit much, but those final seconds when you realise he's fucked...

Million Dollar Baby, how could I forget...That movie had me in floods. Sniff.

There are a lot of so called weepies made years ago, this I think is quite a disparaging term, some were both well written and well acted.
Camille 1936
Love is a many splendoured thing 1955
Imitation of Life 1959
Mayerling 1968
For me, the best of the lot is One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest. The only time I've left a cinema in silence, I felt real anger!

~ "Oh, now what's this, then? I love this. A big, flashy-lighty thing. That's what brought me here. Big, flashy-lighty things have got me written all over them. Not actually, but give me time... and a crayon.”

~ “I'd forgotten not all victories are about saving the universe.”

~ “900 years of time and space and I’ve never met anyone who wasn’t important.”

~ “I am, and always will be, the optimist. The hoper of far-flung hopes, and the dreamer of improbable dreams.”

Somewhere In Time. He literally wills himself to die to be with her. You can't help but cry.
