Hi and welcome
For me I don't mind certain pic being posted after all its an erotic site that we joined. You always have the power to delete any you may dislike. Its the same with chatting engage when you want and if you want. Pretty simple I like to keep things that way after all I have control not the pursuers. Enjoy the site take and give what you want and have fun, and if its not fun its not worth doing smile I think I've read or heard that before

Welcome to Lush!

Sometimes newbie girls are kind of seen as 'fresh meat' to a certain degree and once you get used to the lay of the land and get desensitized to the typical come-ons from guys and the jackhammer fuck-gifs that people will plaster all over your wall, you'll settle in and start having fun. smile

But yeah, the first week can be a bit overwhelming.

The main thing to remember is that you are in complete control of your Lush experience. You should feel confident about rejecting friend-adds or pop-up chats until you get to know the vibe of the person. Don't feel compelled to do anything you don't feel like doing. You shouldn't feel pressured about any of it.

If it gets too much, try going 'invisible' (the option is in your settings) and it will allow you to explore the site, read stories, post in forums etc without being seen as 'online' - this will help avoid a lot of the chatting attempts and let you set the pace.

Honestly - when I first joined, I sort of floated around for a bit, but then started to get more grounded with the more I posted in the forums and got to know the personalities of various members through their posts. It's a good (albeit passive) way of getting to know someone but then you can figure out who you want to be friends with or chat with from there.

Good posts.... but also know that a lot of female profiles are as bad as the male ones on every aspect mentioned. And to be honest, it is pretty common to lose your mind when first joining. LOL I did some things that I wish I had not done, and acted in some ways that knowing what I do now, I would not have. Granted, I was not THAT bad, nor harassed women, but I did fall into some patterns of behavior that I wish I had not.

As clum states, there ARE some pretty great folks here, both men and women.... so hand in there.

I learned a lot from the forums. You can pick-up whether or not a person is just a jerk. There are a whole range of personalities on the site. But overall I grew to like the people even if I disagree with what they say. There are a lot of good people here. But it is not a dating site. Most people know that. Letches and creeps don't care.
Please don't get discouraged.

When I first joined, I felt pretty intimidated by many of the Lush regulars. I was afraid to respond to their posts or ask them to be friends. But eventually I became more comfortable and found out that some of these people were very genuine and have become some of my dearest Lush friends.

The come-ons by guys (and Women) are just part of the game. After a while you don't even notice them. You can set it so that only your friends can post on your wall so you don't have to deal with unsolicited posts.

I found the best way to get to know people is to hang out in the forums, you get a real good idea of what a person is all about by what they post. Chat rooms are a good way to make friends too but sometimes they can get really crowded that it is hard to get to know someone but it is a good start.

Like life in general, Lush has a lot of creepy, crude, phony people but it also has many really cool, caring fun loving people too. Be yourself, treat people how you want to be treated and I'm sure you will make many great friends and enjoy Lush as much as I do!

Cunt. (And I never claimed to be one of the "genuinely nice and interesting guys"; I just said they're out there).

I am pretty new as far as having a profile but I was here for almost a year just reading. So far everyone has been very nice and I have had a blast. I like the forums and the chat rooms. I feel sexy when I am here.

This!

Also, I'll add, most friend requests that come my way stem from something I've posted in the forums. It may look intimidating, but just jump in! I steered clear of the forums when I first joined because it looked like a community all on its own, and I didn't wanna barge in where I wasn't welcome. But it totally wasn't like that at all.

The same goes for the chat rooms. If it seems a bit much for you, feel free to start your own room and you can completely map out your own personal chat room experience.

My early experiences here made me extremely uptight in the beginning, but only because I didn't realize how much control I had over my overall Lush experience. There are quality men here as well as women. It's rather easy to cut off those you don't want contacting you. It's easy to weed out the ones who want to get to know you as opposed to those who want to 'get close to you' for other reasons. You can make genuine friendships here, which is a concept that took me a while to grasp. Don't let a few bad/annoying ones (because face it, they exist) ruin your overall experience.

I can only say that everyone that has written to me has been very nice, men/women/undecided.
Somehow, I can't get mind around anyone being afraid of being on this or any other site, that's what the DELETE key is for.

it was awkward at first, only a few weeks so far.
Some messages actually made me blush and feel cheap
then i remembered where i was (it is a porn site)
then i found the mighty DELETE button
added a few creeps as Friends
then i found the UNFRIEND button
Been great since.....
