if we are thinking the same, and i had to google it by the way. and there's not some sexual innuendo here that i don't know about.

i've seen my husband make this gesture, laying his face in his hand and he's usally shaking his head at the same time.

he does it when i do something ditzy, it's like throwing his hands in the air.

so thats my take on it.

I'm guessing this is what you're asking about? This is a rather fitting definition I found on urbandictionary:

When someone is so stupid that it makes you speechless, and the only thing you can do is shake your head or facepalm.

It's pretty much along those lines.
