Has Lush changed your assumptions about the sex lives of others?

In spending time on Lush I see what looks like normal every day folks (whatever that means) that have very active and kinky sex lives, at least online if not in real life. People that if I met them in person would never suspect the extent of their sexual appetites.

The dowdy librarian that at one time I would have pictured going home to curl up with a classic and a glass of warm milk, I now see watching porn with her vibrator.

Has anyone else experienced this?

I sure have, and that is why this place is special. The dowdy librarian, the quiet housewife, can all come here and explore their fantasies. No judgment. In fact, it's all welcomed.

I would say that circumstances began changing my attitude towards sex beginning with the collapse of my marriage. After 20+ years I suddenly found myself free to explore things I had never even considered before. What Lush has done is help me see some of the exciting options open to me. I have learned how interesting a single woman's sex life can be, and I like that

I've been a social butterfly online for 8 years before I came here! I've seen everything by this time! Lush is actually pretty tame compared to the lesbian site I've run for years!

I assumed more people understood punctuation, proper verbiage, and well, grammar.

For many here English is not their first language. And other languages have other concepts in grammar and different rules for punctuation. To give an example: in Dutch there should be no comma before the 'and' in your post as it's part of a summary.

On topic now: I was quite surprised to see how many people actually consider themselves bisexual or bi-curious and how many men are into crossdressing, especially men aged 40 and up.

Lush folk and their stories comments on here have shown me that, there is just so much exploration with sex that can, take those open to trying new ways on to some superb heights of enjoyment many may have never thought possible.

I get that others are not into the finer points, and have different native tongues. I was referring to the numbers who think that "wats up? u wanna chat?" is a communication.

I have also been surprised to discover the number of men that are comfortable with their sexuality.

I have been on lush about a year. Being here has reinforced what I suspected. This site has very little to do with reality. In fact, it is an escape from reality and that is a good thing. Who wants to read stories about your boring day? Does anyone care about you your 9 to 5 office job and the drudgery of your commute stuck in traffic on the 405, or that you are having leftovers for dinner... Again.

However, what makes a great story, is the fantasy you have about Miss Jones in the office pool. How you, now the manager of course, calls her into your secluded office, and after some snappy dialogue, bend her over the desk, and shove your now massive cock into her dripping wet and wanton pussy.

Lush for me is an escape, like it is for most. To answer the question. Has Lush changed my assumptions about the sex lives of others? The answer is no.

Yes. I think that is the beauty of this site. You can explore, learn, interact without the prejudice of who you are in real world. One can even silently read and make an understanding that whatever they are feeling sexually is not isolated case. And to see what you never imagined could be possible is actually possible before joining the site

Well, it sure is communication. But I see what you mean now ;)

Not at all. I've known for years that more folks than anyone would suspect have wonderful sexual fantasies. It's human nature.

I do remember being surprised when we'd discover a couple who we thought were strictly vanilla also were into wife swapping or pushing some limits. And it's simply amazing how many married men are also bisexual.

We do all tend to keep our armor on in public but wouldn't it be nice to just wear a name tag that said something like, "I may seem vanilla but I can be very exciting".

What do you know - I'm not a freak.

So for me finding Lush - and writing erotica - has brought me relief as I'm not the only one into the many extreme things I like. It's very reassuring.

Not really. I always was of the mind that as long as it didn't hurt anyone else who was I to judge.

What I have learned here is that there are different people that make different life choices but still fit well within my spectrum of types. They go from the angelic to those you wish had never been created. Everyone has essentially the same spectrum but it shifts around with each one. I might like many things you wouldn't consider or the other way round.

Accept and try to understand, not judge, and I learned about a whole new concept called polyamory. How neat.

Writing is something I've come to really like and just try to improve. I get to use my mind and I always like that.

This is a neat place to hang around.
I am always a gentleman.

Well I answered this once with a no. But I saw the replies on a survey about how often the members have intercourse. The number of people that were honest and said infrequently with some stating a long time ago made me realized there are more sexually repressed members here than I thought.

So I change my answer to yes. This is a great outlet that creates a community that provides more than jack off material. It gives forum to the lonely or those stuck in a boring relationship.

No, I don't see people in my everyday life as more sexual. Sometimes I actually wonder 'What would they think if they knew I wrote smut?' but tbh, I've stopped caring. People are people. Having said that, I may think about guys masturbating a bit more.

I am going to say yes but to put that into perspective my sexual experiences over the years have been very vanilla. As you say however could it be that a lot of what we read here is simply fantasy and perhaps that librarian does indeed go home to curl up with some classical music and some ovaltine.

I've led quite a boring sex life for 30+ years - childhood sweetheart to husband but now after 20+ years of marriage the marriage has failed and we no longer have sex but we are still together living in the same house for a variety of reasons

Lush has opened my eyes to what an active sex life could be. I dream of doing some of the things that I read about on here - another coupe of years and I will be single - it's great to know that a 50+ sex life is possible - I dream of the day......

I am somewhat surprised by the sex lives of people on here - especially the amount of people that want to chat one to one and video call this fat woman

Lush has definitely made me realize that others (and myself) have a lot more to them than most people know, or think they know.
Most people who know me in my real life, would be surprised to learn I have this private, secret on line life. Even more surprised (shocked even) to learn or my sexual fantasies and my sexual appetite.
I am pretty certain I am not unique in this, and often look at people now and wonder.... "Hmmmm I wonder if they would be into......"!

That is heart-breakingly sweet, Candy.

Lush reminds me how varied and creative people's inner lives are. There is beauty and bravery and honesty in what people post here.

I had been taught a variety of incorrect ideas about women's sex lives because of being in a christian home and all my adult influences being christian. I kind of thought that women didn't want sex like men did and that they only wanted sex to get the romance/intimacy given before during. Well ah i am sure that the romance/intimacy is still applicable I guess i now realize (amazingly lol) that women actually do have a sex drive too. Hallelujah!!!

Less of the Fat Woman references please!!!!!

(I'm 5'8"... I don't go around here describing myself as the short guy!)

If as you say, (and I believe you!) that many people want to connect with you here, then you being fat obviously bothers them not a jot! Nor should it bother you...

xx Steph

Everyone: "WE all call you The Short Guy..."

Me: "FUCK YOU ALL ONCE AGAIN!"

Nah. If anyone had much of a sex life then they wouldn't be on here. And yes that does include me. Even if youre an author doing it is more fun than writing about it

Like Steph said, stop calling yourself "fat". If nothing else, Lush has taught me that there are guys out there for everyone...seriously, a guy asked me to put on weight (and at 6' and a solid 185 lbs., I'm not exactly petite). So stop. You're a thousand things, but "fat" is not one of those things.

Yes Guest u r right. If u met me in person u would not know I have a very sexual side. I just joined a date site and I find it hard to chat with men there. Not sex talk but regular stuff. But I have several men friends here and we talk about everything not just sex and its easier for me here/
