I don't know what's going on with the membership messages, but you have to make 20 forum posts before you can post images.

That are two unrelated issues. You need to have made twenty posts in the forum before you can post images and links.

Nevertheless, getting an expiry message about gold membership just after signing up seems strange. It's probably just a glitch in the system, but I'll forward your message to gav, he'll be able to make some sense from it. Might be something like the email address being in use by someone who was a member here in case you only got that address in the last year, or accidental re-use of a database id that was linked to a no longer existing account. I'm pretty sure there's no need to worry, but I'll have it looked into.

I had a report of this about a week ago. The member had left and returned some time later with a different account name and got that same email.

I have a theory.

Maybe you have the same username as a member who deleted their account and was also a premium member whose membership would have expired on August 7th, hence you got the email.

As far as I know, when members delete their accounts their usernames are up for grabs.

Don't take this at face value, though. 'Great with technology' has never been something to add to my resume.

I should have made the effort, before I posted above, to determine the name of the member that talked to me about this which I have now done .. Davidv07062.

This is somewhat unrelated, but does Lush notify us before the expiry date of our membership, so we can re-up without lapsing?

I am 99% certain that the answer is no to that. As I am sure you know if you go to the Lush Gold page it does say when your membership expires.

Hmm. Maybe that could be a feature added to the site? An automatic notification, say, a month before your membership lapses, and then another a week before? I'm sure Gav could rock that without even being fully awake...

Hi, I'm Liz. How are you?

I think one thread should be sufficient to keep track of your issue. How many would you like to use?

I haven't purchased any premium or gold membership or whatever it is and yet I have been mailed for the expiry of the same on the very second day of my joining the site.
It is the thing what is bothering me.

I don't think this is anything to worry about.

As one of our other moderators explained above, "Maybe you have the same username as a member who deleted their account and was also a premium member whose membership would have expired on August 7th, hence you got the email."

I think this is the most likely explanation for you receiving that email message. You haven't supplied any credit card information to the site, so therefore it's impossible for you to have been charged anything.

Don't panic. Our technical guy is looking into this for you.

It is easy for you to say don't panic or nothing to worry about. So, I guess. It had been 36 hours and I haven't heard a singe word from the site owner.
I had my cards compromised and I had received that suspicious mail from the site. I don't think it could all be a coincidence. Even if it is, I don't know. I am still worried. It was my money. I need to speak with site owner.

My threads get moved and locked, other one was deleted by moderators and I am being told not to post new threads by one other moderators. I am being treated as if I am guilty of some crime.

Let's try this one more time, nice and slow: Stop posting multiple threads in the forum about this issue. The next time you do so I will suspend your account. Do we understand each other?

You have said nothing until now about your 'cards being compromised'. If that is the case, I strongly recommend you speak to your credit card company about the matter. You need to take it up with them.

Your behaviour is starting to represent that of an internet troll. If I were Nicola, I wouldn't want to speak to you either.

Calm down.

One more thread that I posted is got deleted, Why is this happening?

@Moderators Please, I am urging you not to move or lock or delete, this thread of mine. It is a separate issue, "Why I am being denied to contact Nicola, the site owner."

It had been almost 36 hours since, I have posted a thread addressing her, but I still haven't been received a single word from her. When I try to contact her, she has denied communication.

There are issues, I am facing and they are beyond Moderators level. I need to have words with Nicola. I see her commenting other threads. I don't get it, why she is ignoring mine?

One more thread that I posted is got deleted, Why is this happening? I haven't asked for trouble, I just joined this site and I got a suspicious mail from this site. Its been over 36 hours and I haven't been told why exactly I got that message. Site owner is hiding somewhere, denied communicating with me. Moderators and people are telling me false assumption made up theories. Deleting, moving and locking my thread, telling me not post any threads.

Why don't you people just tell Nicola, the site owner to contact me?

I am saying it one more time and I guess it is enough nice and slow for you.

Even If I forget my about my credit card which were hacked on the similar dates when I had received that suspicious mail from this site. The issue that why I got that mail is only gonna solved by the site. If you can understand it.

Why don't you people just tell Nicola, the site owner to contact me?

I have no idea what is really happening? I have heard that it often happens, people get ripped on porn sites and sites hacked people financial and other important credentials to steal money. Has my account have been compromised here on Lush or something?

I can't help myself, allcan ..... but you need to relax a bit .....

I have been a member here (on and off) since October 2009 ....... and no one has ever been "ripped off" by Lush. You are being wound up by your own thoughts and lashing out at a site that has obviously not "ripped you off" since you did not give them (Lush) your credit card information.

There are often things that happen with computers (and sites) that randomly happen. Hell, I work in a law firm with huge securities and I still want to throw my computer out the window when I return from vacation because settings "randomly" change. Computers are ALIVE .... and love to fuck with you (and me) .... so ... breathe .... you have not been personally attacked by anyone here on lush ..... be a bigger person and wait to see what happens. You've addressed your problem, and LET other's do their job (in peace). Repeatingly adding threads or comments will NOT make anything move faster for you.

Brother, Even in that case, I need an assurance from the site owner that I haven't been harmed by that suspicious mail that I had received from her site. I can't take moderators word for it. They just work voluntarily for the site owner, but they are not the site owner.

Can I just bump this to make the point again that we know at least one other member has received the same email when he joined. There are likely more that thought nothing of it and simply deleted it and forgot about it.

I signed up here on lush on 6th Aug 2014. Today, when I signed in Lush, I saw a mail, it was sent to me on 7th Aug 2014 and it says, "Your premium membership has expired. Thanks again for supporting the site. Just to let you know that your premium membership has just expired. Cheers, Admin"

I checked my email, with which I have verified the Lush Account. There was nothing in there in the inbox.

So, I thought that it was some sort of dirty trick of site, to extract money out of users or perhaps some cheep promotion stuff.

Later, in Junk mails, I found that I had been emailed by the site acknowledging the same mail for "premium membership expiry"

I don't know what is going on. I checked all my cards. I tried to speak with this Nicola person, she is the owner of site that I found out, but it says she won't communicate with me.

I have no idea what is really happening? I have heard that it often happens, people get ripped on porn sites and sites hacked people financial and other important credentials to steal money. Has my account have been compromised here on Lush or something?

Please, read it again, if could and try to notice the things in red. Then if could just visit my profile there is a another thread. If could read it.

I had asked this above, but I wanted to confirm that I'm right. Now that I have, I will ask again.

You signed up with an email to verify your account.
You received an email saying your gold membership (which you never had) was expiring.
You never gave the site a credit card, because you never bought a membership.

With the above facts, it is impossible that your card was charged. The site never had the number to charge it. This tirade seems less than legitimate to me.

Cutting and pasting the same response won't change this. How could they charge you if you never gave them a card?

Thank you for the clarification however it may not be relevant that you have not had an account here before.

I need to know that from Nicola, the site owner. I can't take your word or moderator's word for it. I Know I am repeating myself cause you guys can't just seem to read. "I fucking got the suspicious mail form her site and I got my cards hacked on the similar dates"

That doesn't make sense. You didn't provide the card number here. How could the hack have come from here?

I really don't get it what you are intended at. First you were telling me that I got it because I would had account before, You even told the member name. I tried to not respond it and then you came at again and now are telling me that it is not relevant as if I am lying.
