Seriously, thank you all. The truth is I've gone through the final break up in the longest relationship I've ever had. My lady friend has moved off to Omaha (seriously, could you imagine me in Nebraska?)

Thanks Nicola. This was actually long in coming. As you know, we've been having trouble for awhile. I think neither of us had the strength to just end it. Her decision to move away made it easier on both of us.

Nine years... I've written several poems about her hear and stuff she alone has. At least I can look at my face in the mirror now and not feel some of the things I felt.

Damn, Being single was easier when I was forty (shrugs)
