Naked on the Internet: How the internet is "changing the realm of female sexuality"
Author Audacia Ray has written a book called Naked on the Internet: Hookups, Downloads and Cashing In on Internet Sexploration in which she analyses women who have a, um, wide-range of sexual interests. As Wired would put it, these women not only have a unique sexual appetite, but "are savvy enough to figure out how to harness technology to pursue our erotic desires". (Because in order to use Google, you definitely need to be "savvy".)
Ray interviewed over 80 women, ranging from chatters, bloggers, daters, to geeks, and how they incorporate the internet into their sex lives. Naked on the Internet apparently takes a more academic, serious tone, and talks to real! live! sex workers who use the internet for their *services*. Ray also looks to answer the more serious questions about sex and the internet such as: if you're not getting paid for your naughty webcam shows, does that make you a sex worker? Or just an erotic artist? (Which, I'm sure, many of you have been wondering about...)
