Review: Je Joue G-Kii

As you may possibly have read on these forums, my girlfriend really isn't advantaged to reach g-spot orgasms. She can still feel a whole lot of pleasure vaginally and experience blended orgasms, but it's rather rare for her to experience a deep 'g-spot only' orgasm. I even tried to make her orgasm with my fingers a few times (which can work wonderfully with some girls), but more often than not it's simply not worth the trouble: my hand gets weary and she gets tired/disappointed herself before we can achieve any significant result. Often times, she simply prefers to orgasm from her clitoris while occasionally adding a bit of stimulation on her g-spot to intensify her orgasm, and this holds true both when she's masturbating alone and when she's having sex with me.

If you can somehow relate to this and would love to experience g-spot orgasms a lot more consistently, keep reading as the G-Kii from Je Joue might likely be a real game-changer for you. I should also mention this right away so you won't miss that wonderful opportunity, but the G-Kii is currently available for only $69 at PinkCherry.com (or $55 after the 20% coupon). This vibrator is usually sold for $120+ at most stores, so this is a discount of more than 50%.

Being concerned about my girlfriend's inability to achieve consistent g-spot orgasms, I wanted to invest in a reliable g-spot toy since a while. Mostly, I had read incredible reviews about the Njoy Pure Wand (left), which is apparently miraculous to achieve g-spot or squirting orgasms; the Jopen Comet (right) also received a lot of similar praise. Seriously, you can search for online reviews yourself and you'll soon realize that the positive feedback that these toys received is absolutely insane:

The ultra-pronounced curve of these toys is what really sets them apart: it's wonderful to apply a great deal of pressure on the g-spot, which can be a game-changer for a lot of women. These toys are rather expensive however (around $100), and since my girlfriend was allegedly already satisfied with her current toys, she didn't feel the need to invest in such a toy. When I stumbled across the G-Kii myself though (and the bargain mentioned above), I just couldn't help but immediately order that toy: it essentially had that ultra-pronounced curve which received a lot of praise, with quite a few extra innovative features as well.

Here are the overall specifications:

Length: 6.5"
Insertable Length: 5"
Girth: 4.1" at largest point
Width: 1.25" at largest point
Material: Silicone
Special Features: Waterproof, Multi-Speed, Multi-Function, 2 Motors, Rechargeable
Colors: Purple, Lilac, Black, Fuchsia
Retail Price: $120

And here are the 4 colors available (Purple, Lilac, Black, Fuchsia):

For everyone's information, Je Joue (which means 'I play' in French) is a high luxury brand based in London which was launched in 2008. It is much similar to Lelo, Jopen or Fun Factory in terms of quality, with a very interesting selection of toys. The G-Kii is also the second version of that toy, the first version being called the G-Ki (with only one 'i'). I'll compare the two versions very briefly further in this review, but from what I've read the new G-Kii is a huge improvement over the original G-Ki. If you're interested in this toy and wish to read a few additional reviews before buying, be sure to read reviews about the G-Kii, and not about the G-Ki.

The G-Kii is elegantly packaged, which is perfectly representative of the luxurious nature of this vibrator. After opening the protective retail box (which is already quite stylish and elegant), you'll get your hands on the primary luxury box, which is extremely thick/sturdy and which has a very compelling texture to it:

You can then open that one box to reveal your toy. A small compartment to the side will also contain the charging cord and the manual of instructions:

Aside from possessing that very particular curve which is ideal for g-spot stimulation, here's how the G-Kii is also extremely innovative: the curve can be altered in any way that you want. It also has two separate motors, and can thus be used for dual-stimulation (clitoris and g-spot). To unlock the current position and to modify the curve at will, simply press on the small dissimulated button that's located on the side of the toy. Observe how easy it is to modify the shape:

Note that the possible positions are fixed/predetermined, but there are still quite a few available and it's extremely likely that one or two of them will be perfect for your anatomy. I personally managed to find 5 positions myself, though it's not impossible that I actually missed one:

Here's what it also looks like in my hand, where you can appreciate the overall size/curve of the G-Kii (left), as well as the area that will be applied on the clitoris when it's used for dual-stimulation (right). Note that this is actually the 'straightest' position available. Quite a pronounced curve even then, as you can observe:

And here's where the two independent motors are approximately located, and where the vibrations will also be the strongest:

The reason why such a pronounced curve can truly be a game-changer when it comes to g-spot orgasms is relatively simple. First, let's compare the G-Kii to the Lelo Gigi, which is already a pretty decent g-spot vibrator who also received a lot of praise:

As you can certainly notice, although the Lelo Gigi already has a nice curve to easily reach the g-spot, the one of the G-Kii is significantly more pronounced. What this essentially means is that although the Lelo Gigi will be quite effortless to place right over your g-spot, you'll still need to forcefully press it upward with your hand if you wish to apply a lot of pressure. If your g-spot isn't particularly difficult and you don't really need a lot of time or pressure to orgasm from it, a toy like the Lelo Gigi can already be plenty satisfying for you. However, if you need a lot of pressure applied for a prolonged period of time, it can rapidly become arduous, tiresome and frustrating.

A very pronounced curve can thus be extremely valuable if you're not anatomically advantaged to orgasm from your g-spot. The more you'll insert the G-Kii inside your vagina, the more pressure you'll feel on your g-spot, it's really as simple as that. You won't even need to force anything with your hand: just tilt it very slightly and you'll instantly feel a great deal of pressure applied on your g-spot (and I'm talking about extra-strong pressure here). My girlfriend always considered g-spot orgasms laborious and rarely worth it, but with the G-Kii she can now achieve them effortlessly. It still takes her a bit more time than when orgasming from her clitoris, but she can now consistently orgasm from her g-spot pretty much any time she wants to.

There are basically two ways in which the G-Kii can be used: on the g-spot exclusively, or as a dual-stimulator. You can obviously select the degree of the curve accordingly:

When used exclusively on the g-spot, it will be much comparable to using a similar toy (eg. the Njoy Pure Wand), but in the case of the G-Kii you'll also have a few patterns of vibrations at your disposal to increase your pleasure. Using it that way can be particularly interesting if you wish to solely focus on the stimulation that's applied on your g-spot, which can be great if you're new to g-spot stimulation and desire to experiment a little. Women who prefer to stimulate their clitoris with an ultra-powerful vibrator (eg. the Hitachi Wand) might also prefer using it that way, instead of using the G-Kii as a dual-stimulator.

When used as a dual-stimulator, the main advantage of the G-Kii (as compared to regular rabbit vibrators) is that it will likely fit just about any woman's anatomy: the curve is fully customizable and the area that's applied on the clitoris is also quite large, so it's very easy to adequately stimulate both the clitoris and the g-spot at the same time. My girlfriend tried a few other dual-stimulators in the past (she even borrowed the expensive Jopen Vr3 of one of her friends), and she always had a hard time stimulating both her clitoris and her g-spot as she desired. When the vibrator was perfectly aligned on her clitoris it wasn't aligned on her g-spot (and vice-versa), which she always found frustrating more than anything. Before discovering the G-Kii, she always preferred using two different toys for dual-stimulation.

With the G-Kii, it's possible to fully stimulate both your clitoris and your g-spot simultaneously, no matter your anatomy. Moreover, a great way to use it is to shake it a little so that it will both rub against your clitoris and press against your g-spot at the very same time. By opposition, many rabbit vibrators can be a bit finicky to use; with those, often times just a slight movement can completely misalign things.

However, one disadvantage of the G-Kii is that the area that's applied on the clitoris is rather broad, which can be a bit tedious for women who prefer a very strong pinpoint stimulation. With that said, if you prefer to take your time when using the G-Kii, with a long build-up that eventually leads to an incredibly intense orgasm, this can actually be advantageous to delay your orgasm. This is especially true for women who generally orgasm much faster from their clitoris than from their g-spot, and who would like to orgasm from both at the very same time.

The G-Kii isn't the greatest toy to use during couple-play either. First, its size and its pronounced curve make it nearly impossible to lick your partner's clitoris when the toy is inserted inside her vagina. Furthermore, when used exclusively on the g-spot, since the slightest movement of the G-Kii will greatly alter the pressure and the sensation that's felt on your g-spot, it's much more appropriate to handle the toy yourself than to let a partner do so.

However, my girlfriend and I both absolutely love using the G-Kii during anal sex. Essentially, we can use it as a dual-stimulator while I'm also fucking her ass to achieve some fantastic triple-stimulation. It's very easy to maintain the G-Kii in place when it's wrapped around her genitalia, and it's also very easy to manipulate. Either of us can simply place a hand on it and shake it a little while my cock is also moving in-and-out of her ass:

It's perfectly suitable for rough sex, but we also love using it that way during sensual scenarios: my girlfriend can sit on me with my cock inserted deep inside her ass, while she's sensually massaging her pussy with the G-Kii and slowly building a very intense orgasm. I personally love kissing/licking her neck and massaging her breasts at the same time, and the sensation of her pussy juice slowly dripping on my balls is absolutely wonderful.

The G-Kii is also perfectly shaped to stimulate the prostate (this is partly why we chose the black color, by the way). I tried it a few times myself, but prostate stimulation really doesn't do much for me. The G-Kii was easy to insert inside my ass and I could definitely feel it against my prostate, but I really don't seem to be advantaged when it comes to p-spot orgasms. Frankly, if you're a single man who wishes to buy a prostate massager, there are probably a few cheaper options that can be just as effective as the G-Kii. If you're already in a couple however, the G-Kii might be worth investing into, as it's perfectly shaped both for g-spot and p-spot stimulation. Two toys for the price of one, so to speak.

The vibrations provided by the G-Kii are also very nice, especially with the creative patterns that fully take advantage of the two motors. I don't personally have a whole lot of luxury vibrators to compare the G-Kii to, but some other reviews I read mentioned that the vibrations are similar to the Lelo Mona 2 in terms of power/noise (though maybe just slightly less powerful). In total, you have 7 patterns of vibrations and 5 levels of intensity, both of which are adjustable independently. The controls are simple and located at the extremity of the toy:

Some other reviewers complained that those buttons are hard to press. I agreed when I first tried the G-Kii, but with subsequent uses they became much easier to manipulate. My girlfriend is a relatively small girl and it's not problematic at all for her: you do need to press on these buttons rather firmly, but this can actually be an advantage not to accidentally change the setting of the vibrator when it's being used.

To turn it on, simply press on the (+) button for 2 seconds; to turn it off, simply press on the (-) button for 2 seconds. To increase or decrease the intensity, you can again press on the (+) and (-) buttons. To change from a pattern to the next, simply press on the middle button.

The 7 patterns of vibrations are as follow:

1- Steady vibrations in both the base and the head
2- Steady vibrations in the base only
3- Steady vibrations in the head only
4- Vibrations that are 'launched' from the base to the head (with a steady rhythm)
5- Vibrations that are 'launched' from the base to the head (with a short pause)
6- Vibrations that pulsate between the base and the head (moderately)
7- Vibrations that pulsate between the base and the head (rapidly)

You have quite a few interesting options at your disposal, as you can see. My girlfriend absolutely loves the patterns #4-5, which feel very organic and visceral according to her: the vibrations gradually escalate in intensity at the base, and then are quickly thrown at the head when they reach maximum intensity. She says that those patterns feel a little as if her blood was being drained from her external pussy, and then forcefully launched right at her g-spot.

One thing that's also worth mentioning is that even if the two motors operate independently and are located apart from each other, you can still feel both of them through the entire vibrator. For example, even when the pattern #2 is active (ie. vibrations in the base only), you can still feel strong vibrations at the head of the toy. What this essentially means is that the two motors somehow work in harmony with each other, and their vibrations tend to intertwine very nicely. It's a little hard to describe precisely, but the vibrations of the G-Kii feel very sophisticated when both motors are active at the same time.

To put the toy on charge, simply use the magnetic cord that's provided. Attach it to the controls of the G-Kii (which are also magnetic), plug it into the wall, and wait until it's fully charged. Everything is done magnetically, there are no pin/port involved at all:

Charging it takes 2 hours, which will also provide 2 hours of playtime. Note that the cord can only be plugged into the wall (110V), there is no USB adapter provided. This isn't problematic in any way for me and my girlfriend, though it might still slightly limit your options in some circumstances.

My only complaint concerning the G-Kii (which really isn't one) is the manual of instructions that's provided:

As you can see, it's way too small to be read comfortably. And considering that the G-Kii is a relatively complex toy, you'll likely want to read a bit about it before using it. Luckily though, the instructions are fully available online (which can also be printed to a much more appropriate size), so it really isn't that big of a concern.

To briefly compare the G-Kii to its predecessor, here's a picture of the former G-Ki:

You might likely notice a few differences:

1- The controls are located at the back of the toy
2- The base (ie. the area applied on the clitoris) is much thinner
3- There are 2 buttons to adjust the curve (and the curve is also much more irregular)

The G-Kii is pretty much an improvement in every aspect: whereas the original G-Ki was a great idea that wasn't fully perfected, the design of the new G-Kii really is flawless. I also read that the vibrations of the G-Kii are a huge improvement over the ones of the original G-Ki. The G-Ki is still available in many stores but it's just as expensive as the new improved G-Kii, so there really isn't any reason for you to buy that older version. If you're interested in reading a few other reviews however, be sure to read reviews about the new G-Kii; otherwise, the reviewer will be describing a very different product.

Overall, the G-Kii was absolutely worth it for my girlfriend, especially since we bought it for half its usual price. She was quite a bit disillusioned regarding g-spot vibrators prior to buying the G-Kii, but that new vibrator completely changed her affinity with g-spot orgasms. There's a certain learning curve to it (no pun intended), but the positive side is that it's also extremely versatile and malleable (again, no pun intended). All of the promised features also plenty delivered: appearance, material, function, sturdiness, vibrations, everything is perfectly representative of a high luxury toy.

Concerning if this toy will be worth it for you personally depends on which extent you'll likely use the many features of the G-Kii. If you'd like to experiment with an ultra-pronounced curve but don't usually need internal vibrations to reach orgasm, the Njoy Pure Wand might also be an interesting option. If you love vibrations but don't have a particularly difficult g-spot, most vibrators from Lelo will likely satisfy you greatly. It's really up to you, but if the features of the G-Kii somehow appeal you, I can assure you that they fully deliver.

Hope you enjoyed and feel free to ask questions!

These look really great! I like the intense curve on this model. I'll admit, I'm kind of crushing on the silver Njoy Pure Wand you posted as well!

The Njoy Pure Wand really has reached a legendary status in the world of sex-toys in the past few years; I've yet to come across a single negative review about it. A lot of professional reviewers (who've tested hundreds of toys) actually mention that it should be a 'must-have' in your collection of sex-toys, along with a decent vibrator and a nicely shaped dildo. There are even plenty of amateur porn videos out there where girls make themselves squirt with the Njoy Pure Wand.

I actually wonder why so few companies follow that lead and produce a similar toy. I don't believe that Njoy has any patent on the shape of the Pure Wand, plus it would be relatively simple to manufacture: it's technically just a heavy piece of stainless steel. As it is, Njoy pretty much has the monopoly on it and sells you a vulgar piece of metal for nearly $100. I mean, a 2-lbs dumbbell contains just as much metal is usually sold for $5-10.

I came across a toy called the Chrome Crescent though, which is almost identical to the Njoy Pure Wand and that's available on Amazon for half the price ($40-50):

Also, one advantage that the Njoy Pure Wand certainly has over the G-Kii is that it's nearly indestructible and could last you a lifetime. The internal mechanism of the G-Kii does feel pretty sturdy and I'm sure it can resist quite a lot stress/abuse (I'm actually quite impressed/intrigued by this mechanism, working in the engineering field myself), but let's face it, it's likely to break at one point or another. With the Njoy Pure Wand, you could allow yourself to be quite rough while playing with it, whereas a woman who paid the full price for the G-Kii ($120) might possibly be a little more wary about that.

Honestly, if a woman doesn't intend to take advantage of the dual-stimulation that the G-Kii offers, the Njoy Pure Wand would probably be a better option: the mechanism of the G-Kii would just be a useless feature then, which would only make the toy more likely to eventually break. My girlfriend loves using her G-Kii equally in pretty much every way however (g-spot only or dual-stimulation), so it truly is the perfect toy for her.

This is something that I didn't properly mention in my review either, but the G-Kii does have a slight give to it when it's locked in position: I'd say that you can freely move the tip around 1/4" back and forth. And the head is also a bit smaller than the one of the Njoy Pure Wand:

This can either be an advantage or a disadvantage, depending on your masturbation style. The Njoy Pure Wand likely feels more invasive/aggressive, while the G-Kii is probably a bit more forgiving/lenient in terms of internal pressure.
