So I needed a word count of a story I'm writing. Anyway the site also said that the reader level was at a 7/8 grade level..

Is this even good erotica, am I in the right direction at least? P s. It's not done obviously, and just for fun which is why I'm basically going to post it here. I can't decide on character names, which is one of the problems I'm having. Here it is.. I expect bad comments and possibly the whole topic being deleted but I had to try. Any tips, comments? Even bad ones.

*story removed by moderator - please send it privately to whoever agrees to assist you with writing/editing it*

If you want to read it, I can send it to you.

I believe Lush has editors who will be happy to help you in depth/detail. I'm just going to make one suggestion. You keep changing from present to past tense; pick one (probably present) and stick with it.

I figured there was a problem with depth and detail. Also yes it should be in present. Thank you!

You can find an editor by posting your need for one in https://www.lushstories.com/forum/yaf_topics3_Writing-Resources.aspx

Check out this thread from Sprite, one of our best writers and moderators, for a sense of what and what not to do when writing a story for Lush.

This link is to help you with verb tense. It doesn't matter which tense you use as long as it is consistent throughout the story.

sprite listed some suggestions to writers. one of them was if in doubt---ask a moderator---since then I've asked several times about things I weren't sure about---the answers kept me out of trouble with the bosses.

I've found it impossible to find an editor as understandably everyone is busy with there lives. As someone who basically never listened at school I now find I struggle with some of the basics. However I've found that the mods when returning my story for further work on the details to be very helpful, editing and amending one or two paragraphs. This teaches me how to proceed and is fantastic assistance for somebody like me. Many thanks all moderators

You mean I wasn't the only one who didn't listen? ...and I thought I was unique.....
