I actually think about this a lot, what do I TRULY believe in?
I believe in two things: myself and love
Others often think of this as a strength, weakness, emptiness or arrogance. It's none of those, it just is.
Most everything else I try to be pretty Zen and be accepting or understanding though I admit to a rather alarming habit of questioning bullshit. lol
I believe in faeries. Yeah, and unicorns & shit.
I believe there is at least a tiny bit of good in everyone.
I believe that everything is not always what it seems to be.
I believe that everyone is fighting a battle we know not about.
I believe that people not always mean what they say and do what they mean
I believe in the scientific method.... and poetry.
I believe in you
I believe in friendships
I believe in making people smile no matter what you feel inside
I believe in love
I believe laughter is the best medicine

I believe in Loyalty. To bear true faith to God, to my family, to my country, and to those willing to stand shoulder to shoulder with me.
I believe in Duty. To fulfill my obligations and commitments promised to others to the best of my ability. At times, acting in the absence of orders or direction from others governed only by taking the initiative and identifying what needs to be done based on an inner sense of what is right morally and professionally.
I believe in Respect. To treat people as I would want to be treated. To pause and take the time to identify the value and worth that is in each person and to treat that person with dignity.
I believe in Selfless Service. To place the country, my family, and my friends, before the needs and interests of myself.
I believe in Honor. To have a keen sense of right and wrong and to demonstrate this knowledge in the decisions made in my daily life. To be aware of how my actions affect others and to take responsibility for my actions and for those that are under my charge.
I believe in Integrity. To always do what is right legally and morally. To act upon what is right even if it is at personal cost to myself. To not be afraid to openly say that I am acting under my understanding of right versus wrong.
I believe in Personal Courage. To face my fears, to face danger, or to face adversity and still do what is necessary. To stand firm on my beliefs, values, and convictions even when threatened or coerced. To take responsibility for my decisions even when the outcome is not how I wanted and to give credit to others when it is warranted.
These are the things I strive for, but, many times, fail miserably at in my life.
I believe in a universe that is interconnected and interdependent.
I believe in beauty and wonder and look for them everywhere.
I believe in giving the benefit of the doubt and in caring for each other.
I believe in learning and studying; in trying to know more and understand more ("know" and "understand" are not the same thing)
i believe in homemade hot chocolate on cold winter evenings.
I believe in Santa Clause and if you don't, you are only fooling yourself.
I believe everyone's entitled to their opinion. Agree with them or not why fight over ones belief.
i believe in the struggle, but more so in the triumph.
