What is your favorite kind of tea? And how do you like it? Mine is green tea. I drink a hot cup everyday alone with brewed green tea. I live off of it.

There is only one kind of tea, sweet tea (it is served in a glass with ice).

Black tea, no sugar (or milk for heaven's sake!)

I drink the infusion variety (hot, though i have iced them as well) - my favourites are
- forest fruits
- cranberry and pomegranate
- strawberry, raspberry and loganberry
- rosehip and hibiscus
My latest offering: Intoxicated ~ An Erotic Poem.

Boring old Orange Pekoe, usually Red Rose because something to do with not having insecticides or something. Cream and sugar, please.

I just drink what I'm given. If I'm sick, use honey instead of sugar.

On occasion, we go on infusion stints, and try everything. I prefer fruitier blends with a bit of sugar. No cream then.

I buy loose leaf from a nice local vendor (Tea Haus) and prefer that to bags. My wife also picks up some Chinese green when she goes home (she's from Shanghai originally).

Favorites?

For black, I like a good Earl Grey (Bigelow's is good, Tea Haus' Earl Grey Supreme is my current favorite, Twining's is another good one for the bag set) or a fruity tea (lemon, peach, and black current).

For green, I prefer a nice Southern Chinese green unflavoured. I find that adding flavour to greens overpowers the tea.

When I want no caffeine, I drink rooibos (red bush), a South African beverage that is brewed similar to tea. Tea Haus has a nice ginger lemon rooibos. Vanilla goes well with rooibos, too.

sweet (iced) tea will always hold a special place in my heart. i didn't start enjoying hot tea until college. never put much thought into it, just used whatever was at the cafe. started drinking hot green tea post college, but i only associate that with sickness now. recently discovered boba tea and am hoping to recreate it at home.

Say. Her. Name.

If it's hot tea I prefer black tea with milk. If it's iced it has to be sweet tea and come with a pitcher or unlimited refills. At home, I use black if it's hot, orange pekoe if it's iced. I've never really cared for green teas: they are a tasteless abomination. I drink some herbal teas, but I have to put sugar in them. If the tea is too sweet at southern restaurants, they also usually have unsweetened. Or you can mix them together. I think that Red Rose is okay, but I use Luzianne for iced tea. Tetley is good too, the iced tea blend, that is, but for hot tea it has to be Tetley's Black tea. I also like Twinings, but I don't think it's better than Tetley, and it costs a lot more. Some days I like a cup of Earl Grey, though. I like Twinings loose tea, but I usually don't have time to brew a pot. The bags are much more convenient, and I can take them to work. Twinings is superior to Bigelow in my opinion, seeker4. Especially the Earl Grey.

I see Lapsang Souchang in the middle there. That is a really unique one. It's smoked over pine fires, giving it a very unique taste. Both of my loose leaf suppliers carry it but I've only bought it once. I like it but it just seems so different I can't bring myself to use it as an "every day" tea. I may buy some in May for my birthday or something.

Twinning's Earl Grey, with a splash of milk (sacrilegious, I know - but I can't help it...)

Tetley tea, nice and strong with milk and sugar. It's the only way.

Possibly the most British thing ever.

I prefer Scottish Blend, with milk (no sugar), but I don't often drink tea.

Mint Tea, with a bit more sugar than normal as it enhances the mint flavor

I never got along with the Earl Grey. I always thought it tastes like dishwater flavoured with washing up liquid. We do drink a lot of Rooibos, but i still prefer Englis 'Breakfast' tea. The usual stuff you buy from Tesco

So are you trying to say that there are teas that don't taste like dishwater flavoured with washing up liquid? I find that hard to believe

Well of recent months, I've been enjoying a strong brew of Red Bush tea - that was until I made a cup for my Daughter, who likened the smell of it to the soaked haylage she feeds to her horse. It truly does smell the same, so I''m back on Peppermint.

Sweet tea, which I will admit is better than unsweet tea. Apparently in some circles unsweet is a capital offense.

Earl Grey, with a splash of milk. Or Assam, with a glug of milk. Both without sugar, served in a large mug and not a cup.
