I have heard good things about it and it's available on Netflix Canada but it's not really my type of movie based on the description. Nothing to do with the lesbian aspect, it just seems like a bittersweet romance with more graphic sex than others of that ilk and that's not necessarily my thing regardless of the genders and orientations involved. I'll happily stand corrected on that impression, though.

I had asked the question because i saw it recently & liked to know what others think about it. I agree they could have done justice to the plot with less nudity & graphic sex, but i dont think it was repulsive. Be it hetero sex, masturbation or lesbian sex in the movie, they shot it that way because the protagonist is discovering & experimenting with her sexuality. The intimate scenes, even the solo one, has enough angst & emotion behind it- you can feel it & the first time moments bring to mind our first times with guys/ girls. Its all realistic compared to the heels-in-her-fanny plot some erotic and porno movies have. Their only problem is the viewers would have got the gist with even 25% of the running time of the sex scenes.
