I love a bit of light from candles, oil lantern, and in one case were we were staying with a friend, a set of neon lights that went around the foot of the bed. Way cool and much atmosphere.

I love lights off if it's the middle of the night. I love candles and the one lamp light casting shadows.
During the daytime I'm much braver about it being lighter than I'am the night-time.
I have to say most partners I had would prefere me to have lights on at night-time ( they like what they see), so a compromise is ok with me.
I just feel lights off for a bit gets me faster into the mood for passion.
