The book that changed my life
In the Time of Butterflies – the struggle of four sisters who fought for their freedom made me appreciate mine.
What are you currently reading
Passionate people, my mother, my grandmother, single mothers/fathers, Frida Kahlo, Greek Mythology, the ocean, kids playing, poetry, painting, sketching, music, the moon and the sun.
I started writing because...
I love to express my inner most secretive thoughts through my writing. I get lost in my own world of words and it’s such a beautiful escape.
Aside from writing, what occupies your time
My family and my career, I am very passionate about both.
How did you get in to writing erotica?
I needed a positive way to release my random wicked sexual thoughts.
What's your favourite writing genre and why
My favorites categories on Lush would be: reluctance, spanking, BDSM and fetish. I love to push the envelope when I write in those categories and I don’t see it as abuse or abnormal if both parties are in agreement.
Where do you get your creative juice/story ideas from?
Most of my writing is based on my emotions of that particular day with a twist of my wicked imagination. I write about things that let me unleash my alter-ego Zafia.
What are your turn-ons?
My turn-ons range from bondage, mutual nipple sucking, mutual oral sex, real good kissing is a must, dirty talk and real intense eye contact.
What are your turn-offs?
Male chauvinistic thinking and ignorance.
Music I frequently listen to
I am in love with music so I listen to almost everything.
My favourite work of art is
“My Dress Hangs There” by Frida Kahlo.
Breakfast at Tiffany’s, Troy, What Dreams May Come, Meeting Joe Black, Forrest Gump, Amores Perros, Interview with a Vampire, A Beautiful Mind, Real Women have curves, My Big Fat Greek Wedding, Fried Green Tomatoes, Pretty in Pink, St. Elmo’s Fire, Breakfast Club, Steel Magnolias, Untamed Heart, etc. (I could go on and on and on).
Which websites do you regularly visit
So many to mention but the one I frequent the most is Lushstories.com…
What would be a perfect weekend for you
A weekend filled with a relaxing spa, shoe shopping, sex, sex and more sex.
Ideal holiday destination
Laying on a beach in Santorini, Greece
At home I cook
Mexican and Middle Eastern Food.
The hardest thing I've ever done was
Attend my grandmother’s funeral last year.
Most surprising thing people could find out about you
People are usually surprised to know that I am a die-hard baseball fan and become crazed during the playoffs.
I don't like talking about...
Talking is the basis of my career so there is really very little I won’t talk about.
What I find amusing is
Playing with people’s mind by moving their things and not telling them.
What I don't find amusing is
Hypocrisy and domestic violence.
If I wasn't me I'd like to be
A male version of me, I would so rock!
I often wonder...
Why we all just can’t get along.
Thanks Zafia for you time. We thoroughly recommend you have a read of Zafia's work.
