Topic Moody Blues Poem

Sounds like a bought of bi-polar disorder… As for the poem, I felt it, and it moved me. But I was a tad confused, also. Started out thinking that the point of view person was the moody one. Then figured it was spouse, but then that was also causing point of view person to be moody! Maybe the confusion is part of the charm.
Topic Is it okay for the guy in your life to call you "bitch"?
20 Oct 2014 15:10
depends. when he calls me a bitch, is he being tongue in cheek? like, we're playing monopoly and i land on park place and he owns it and he says he is gong to make me his monopoly bitch? i can probably hang with that.
or are we having a disagreement about something, and he tells me that i'm being a bitch because he's pissed off? 'cause that probably means it's time to come get your toothbrush, extra t shirt and whatever else you've left over at my place and go find a woman who's ok with being called "bitch."
Right On! Disrespect is disrespect and you shouldn't stand for it.

Wow, good to know! I love to cook, simple meals or even complicated ones. My gf hardly eats, so I don't get to make many meals for her, but I still do sometimes.

Topic What kind of love have you got?
12 Jan 2014 21:17
Yes, I have. And after 20 some years, she died. I often pose the old question to myself: is it better to have loved and lost, or to never have loved at all? and my answer is obvious to me: to have loved and lost…

I'm with Kristind; yes, we can be promiscuous, but I believe in faithfulness. It's just better that way, for me at least. Once spoken for, I tend to stay that way and do all my exploring and gratifying with the one special one.
Topic What is your experience with affairs?

Just read most of these posts, so my 2 cents worth: I think Dutch Mike has it right. No need to be a facilitator. If you are with someone, be with them, through the good and the bad. I know it is hard, because sex is all around, but don't we search for more than that? Shouldn't or couldn't it be more? I'm not being a priest here, and I'm not judging, but I have been in the situation where most people would have told me it would be okay to "stray" from my wife for some gratification. (she was terminally ill and slowly getting worse over an 8 year period.) Some things in life are worth more than one's own pleasure. I know, if I had done something with someone else and she found out, it would have been like a nail driven into her coffin. Is giving one, especially a loved one, that kind of pain worth the small bit of sexual pleasure? I thought not, and still think that way. If you are in a "loveless" relationship… end it, or at least tell your mate your intentions so will have their "blessings," or whatever they bestow on you.

Has to be a Chicago deep dish. Lou Malnatti's, Gino's, Eduardo's… Sure I like the thin crust, roll it up style, too, but if you've never tried an authentic Chicago style pizza, well, just do if you have a chance.
